I had an impromptu breakfast with Mr Hetherington yesterday morning, whilst he waited for his meeting to arrive. Would not confirm or deny any signings, but I could tell from his responses that there are three waiting to be announced, band enough questions at him you can form an opinion. Then again he was full of beans and fully expected the team to turn around last night and win their remaining games, so I suppose bluff could have being the game .

And before anyone asks, he had a round of toast, and yes, I paid

I don't care if he's best mates and they practise fist pumps like Hardaker and Charnley. The first rumour that was dependent on Leigh getting promoted was clearly wishful/premature thinking on Brierley's behalf.

How old is breirley? 24?

As other have said seems bizarre to buy him and loan him back to a championship club. He has zero experience in SL, if we had signed him why would we not want him playing and learning in SL. Seems daft

Why are people so convinced that Frosties is wrong?

Just to lob in a hand grenade, on his performances against SL opposition in the Super 8s, is Brierley really "all that"?

He's undoubtedly a better player than the one who got let go by Cas as a kid, but does he have the all-round game to perform at the highest domestic level week-in, week-out?
