| Also I know he gets some stick but we do look a lot better with Myler in the team, he seems to be the only one in the team that can guide the team around.
I think Sutcliffe has got the stand off position pretty much guaranteed bar injury, I’m not saying its deserved but that’s how it seems, if we can guarantee safety with a few games to go Id like to see Mclleland get a run though.
Hirrells injury could be the making of Newman who IMO is a real talent.

| Great first half. Very poor second half. Huddersfield were poor. Really pleased to get the win and some encouraging performances.
Very little to wax lyrical about though. They have a run of very winnable games that could pull us out of the relegation issue.

| That first half was the worst we’ve played all season- we made a very ordinary Leeds side look good. Shocking first half performance.
Just looked like they were wary of using any energy- wardle just watched briscoe score his try.
Best player mackintosh- he was also our worst player at times with some awful “passes”.
Forwards poor compared to the great game they played last week.
Leeds aren’t owt much but we made them look brilliant.
Our lads reverted to type After that second try where Leeds scored off being a mile offside and their heads went. Again.

He wasn't offside, pause the highlights when the ball comes off Dwyers boot, Donaldson is in line

| I actually didn’t think we were that great today. Huddersfield were just really poor. I suppose there were flashes of good play in attack in the first half, but as soon as we had any defending to do in the second half we looked all over the place. Or am I judging us too harshly? I suppose we’re a bottom half of the table team now. Still, good to get the win and see a few tries scored.

Bit of both, we had a lot of shifting positions to do with Hurrell going off injuried then having 2 sin binnings and sutcliffe going off for 15 mins.
Interesting to see we scored 3 from kicks on the last which has generally been poor this year
Id like to see Briscoes sin binning again, to me he got binned because it looked dangerous rather than him actually causing it (if you onow what I mean?)
In some ways the performances are pretty irrelevant in the next few games, I’ll take 2 wins from the next 2 games even if it’s down to the other team playing poorly

You are spot on. In terms of missed tackles, it was our worst performance of the season. How you can win a game with 50 missed tackles is a bit of a joke. Of course the heat and two sinbinnings have to be taken into account, but the stats are horrendous in relation to what was seen.
Myler and Singletons defence efforts are utterly abysmal, and inexcusable. I suppose at least Singleton attempted a lot, unlike sone of his teammates, but 9 missed tackles is just a joke. Especially when Peteru also at prop is one of only three players not to miss a tackle. Myler missed 8 tackles.
Oledzki take a bow if stats correct, by far and way out on his own and only player above 30 tackles.

| Why cant people just be happy with the 2 badly needed points? Doesn't matter how they come, we don't have to apologise for winning.
I will take the win no matter how it comes. Were a team at the moment with little to no confidence so the performance is obviously not going to be perfect.
The team had a lot of positives in it yesterday.
Be happy with the 2 points and move on to Wakey.

I don’t think anyone is moaning Marty. At the same time we can’t have our heads up our bottom either. Facts are facts. We played the basics perfectly in the first half, and were clinical which shocked Huddersfield. Over the 80 minutes our defensive effort was shocking, as shown by the stats to back it up. Those points are not debatable. How some have highlighted certain players as positives when the stats show the opposite again shows how naive some can be, purely based on a score line.
On the other side, I personally right now would rather have stats like that each week and the two points than lose. Of course on the proviso that the club are not as naive as fans, based on that result. That isn’t moaning, it is just having a sense of realism. Although if you want it evening out, Wigan missed 49 tackles in their game.

The main stat defensively is we conceded 18 points. This team is capable of scoring 18 most weeks. It doesn't matter if players miss tackles, what matters is somebody covers that missed tackle and in the main we did yesterday.
Of course the defence has to improve but we are in a position where only the win matters so let's accept the win and stop focusing on negatives.
The players should now gain a bit more confidence which will hopefully help offensively and defensively.

Your reading this all wrong Marty, and coming across naive, which I don’t believe you are. Your overall point is correct, let me say that. However, that point is incredibly unfair on a team game, to ignore individual performance. It is all well and good talking about somebody covering, but those type of individual performances in defence more often is not the right way to look at all. Why should they have to cover for weaknesses? Do those players deserve the shirt with repeat performances? Like I said previously, we are not talking a couple of missed tackles, you are talking a big percentage of attempted tackles missed.

But at this moment in time it doesn't matter. We need wins, no matter how they come, that is all that matters. It's no good saying we got the win but.....
We just need wins. I cant look at the performance at the moment. Its win whether we play well, garbage or in between.
If we can beat Wakey and KRnt and move up the table then look at performance of the team and individuals. We all know weve players who aren't good enough, we all know we have to rebuild but right here right now its about 2 points. If we miss 1 tackle, 50 tackles or 100 it matters not one jot.

Yes you're a great side it must be very annoying that you were beaten by a mediocre Leeds team

Completely agree!! We can't go from being rubbish and losing to great and winning in a few weeks. And the point you make about covering missed tackles is a really good one. The attitude of some has been questioned this season, but yesterday there was more desire to work for each other. That's a big part of what will pull us through this.
