I can see why the delay with Rowley compensation would need to be sorted out which may take some time.Surley with Arthur Blease could confirm without a visa plus I'm I think I read that Arthur said his family were up for a move to UK.It could also be that Blease hasn't made his mind up knowing this his first and most important decision.

Lee Briers in the mix now apparently, doubts over Arthurs long term commitment

I think the longer it’s taking the less likely it’s Arthur as I would have thought it would be a quick ish appointment

Briers would be a gamble but is highly thought of wherever he has coached.
Having said that the assistant role is always easier than the head coachs role so who knows.
If we won`t pay the asking price for Rowley and Arthur is looking for a deal closer home than Briers for me is the 3rd choice on the rank.
I`m not too convinced about Demiterou personally.

We need a proven head coach at this time. We're just not in the right place to be taking what would be a massive gamble.

It seems a lot longer, but it's less than two weeks since Smith left, isn't it? Week 1 - Indentify and interview obvious candidates. Week 2 - Interview wider candidates. Week 3 - Make decision and announce. I'd say we are still on schedule and despite a couple of purely speculative pieces in the RL media, Rowley and Arthur are still firm favourites.

This is too big a job for an unproven coach.

I don't know who will be next in line, but I do know that I hate the RL term 'for mine'.

Think most believe we need a proven head coach who can put some steel in the pack, could we see the return of the Mc?
