Quote: (Broken) Time Bandit "I heard plenty of people abuse CW, some booed his name when the teams were first read out, Lawrie didn't hear that. However, if you actually grasped the point I was making (which you clearly haven't yet) you'd know that the distinction is academic, abuse of KR or abuse of CW, doesn't matter.
I have no problem with people being rumbustious, I don't actually have a problem in terms of my own sensibilities with people being offensive and abusive (I've followed Leeds RL and United away in the 80s, 90s and 00s and heard and seen plenty, although I'm sure kids don't need to hear it). My problem was with those who hand out said abuse (whether at CW or just at the opposition and their fans) and then want to pat themselves on the back, get all self-congratulatory and bang on about 'respect' in our game and the fact we're sooooo different from other sports because they clapped CW.'"
If you had taken the trouble to read some of the replies, you would have seen that I had some sympathy with your original point, which IIRC, you were invited to start a new thread, where you and those of a similar mind set could discuss to your heart's content.
Instead, you have stayed on this one, endlessly churning out the same line as though repitition is in some way going to add weight to your complaint.
Your opinion that there is no distinction in the abuse of Hull KR and Chev raises a smile. May I suggest a quick look in the dictionary at the differences between generic and personal?
Again, if you had taken note of the posters congratulating the response from the Southstand, you will have noted many from the other Clubs which make up our great game.
None apparantly from those whom you alledged could have abused Chev and then patted themselves on their backs in the manner you claim.
How strange!
