| I'm not sure what posters mean when they say accountable. Without any evidence, though I am sure it is out there, I would say refs are fitter, more aware, better prepared, more scrutinised then ever before. This will include review of performance by whoever controls/appoints refs. I have seen thousands of games of RL & can only think of 2 where I thought the ref gave a performance that I was angry about. They have to make hundreds of decisions every game & get 99% correct. There might be a forum for coaches to feedback to the ref controllers; I have no idea but would be amazed if not. This should be done later in the week of a game rather than at a press conference. The top teams do seem to get the benefit of calls. I have played for one of the worst teams in the country at the time & it certainly felt like that, but with hindsight as we were doing all the defending we probably did commit more errors. Almost all sports I follow are in the same boat of criticising/persecuting their officials, calling them the worst in any sport. They are not.

| I heard a lengthy interview with James Child on Radio Leeds recently. I thought it was brilliant, or he was. Can you imagine not being able to go to see your son, partner, father officiating due to the abuse they receive?

As Tad has correctly said previously, there's the way Rohan wants / expects the game to play, banging up the side of how it is ACTUALLY being played.'"
Smith is 100% correct about this though, however I do agree mentioning every week will change nothing, he does get asked about it every week though by the 'journalists' I think he should just say you know my thoughts on that and leave it there.

| Leeds don't exactly play the ball perfectly every time either. It is an issue that needs addressing however. So many of the current issues would be solved. Why we have this obsession with making the play of the ball 1/4 second faster god knows as the number of errors we make as a result kill you.
Hopefully the"fans"that are responsible for the comments do get a ban. Completely unacceptable

| The ruck abd 6 agains on tackle 0/1 etc has been stupid from day one.
It won't change until next year which is bonkers. They really should be more fluid in fixing obvious issues / abuses of the rules.

No idea why they don't just add three tackles to the set instead of restarting it. That would be simple to change and would make interfering on the first as counterproductive as doing so on the last.

The reason might be that if it's changed mid season clubs may complain they lost competition points due to the previous rules earlier in the season.

| Then they need to get clubs to agree to it.
It seems senseless allowing obvious cheating / loophole abuse that everyone dislikes to continue all year when it's a simple fix

| The abuse is abhorent.
But typical of what the Twitter sess pit has become.
It's a breeding ground for the vain and the dregs of society.
Why anyone in the public eye would live their life on there is beyond me.
What do they expect given there is little protection?
The whole social media thing needs a dramatic overhaul.
Sadly, the younger generation have become dangerously addicted to it.

Lazy players always looking for short cuts. Look at the PTB in the NRL compared to SL - the players over here can't even be bothered to touch the ball with their foot.
People complain about the six again - without it there would have been 30+ penalties on Sunday. At least it keeps the game moving.
Ref's clamp down and everyone moans is spoiling the spectacle - we can't have it both ways.
Game needs cleaning up and i starts with coaches and players and supporters who condone obvious cheating in their side - never happen, never have a thread on decisions refs get wrong in their favour. Didn't hear Smith bleating about two blatant forward passes in the Warrington - why because it worked in his favour.

| I don't think that's true, if we went back to penalties then the consequences would be more obvious and we'd probably get a cleaner better controlled ruck with players not wanting to concede the yardage on penalties.

It has never happened in the past - each year the ref's get strict on certain elements of the game - what happens - everyone complains it gets watered down and players continue to get away with illegal play. The ruck is no worse now than its had been for years since the emphasis on the wrestle it just flows much better.
Far harsher penalty the six again - with a regular penalty you give yardage but you have time to reset and get your defensive sorted.
