Mamo is a good player and very fast. I was surprised the knights let him leave.

| There is no bigger fan of Walker than me but he is nowhere near ready for SL at this stage. Lets not rush him. Hes quality but needs time to develop.
For those fans who saw Walker for 1st time last night and was pleased with what they saw wait til you see Harry Newman the 17 year old centre in u19s. A really class player.

| Hudds just lost 24-28 at home to Swinton in the cup. Will Rick Stone still be in charge by Thursday? They had around 10 guys playing that I'd expect to be in the 17 for Thursday injuries permitting, although Ikahihifo was sin binned along with a Swinton player early in the 2nd half so might be missing.

| Hopefully the clown is still in charge for one more game
Who do they go for? McNamara may well be a good fit for them.

McNamara does have the link of being a former player there but if you were him would you go there as they are at the minute? Much made of our clubs progression over the last few years but that truly is a club that has gone massively backwards. Only have one or two good things going for them such as McGillvary and you have to wonder how long he's prepared to stay there when he could go to a club challenging for trophies and strengthen his England chances.

I agree they look in a real mess. I think it depends whether the chairman there is willing to back the next coach, they do need big changes and pretty much a clean slate if they manage to get through middle 8s which it looks they will be now. One thing is for sure, the next appointment has to be a good one or Huddersfield could find themselves back in the wilderness again pretty quickly.

Yeah definitely need to make their next appointment spot on (presuming that Stone doesn't last much longer). HKR are going to be a serious threat to whoever ends up in the bottom 4 of SL (looking like Widnes, Hudds, Leigh and another).
Hudds could easily end up doing what HKR did last year. Those two clubs remember finished 3rd and 4th in 2009 behind only ourselves and Saints and comfortably ahead of the likes of Wigan, Wire, Cas and Hull.

| I think that KR will gain promotion back to SL so one of the current SL clubs will go down. At the moment it's looking pretty hopeless for both Leigh and Huddersfield unless they can turn it around soon.

| Castleford lost to Hull today. Gale failed a head test so will be doubtful for their game against Wigan in 6 days. Decent chance we could be outright top of the table this time next week.

I still thought we could make the playoffs after the Cas defeat, level on points at the top at this stage is better than I thought though.
Don't know yet if we'll win any silverware as it can come down to fine margins and IF we make any finals that'll be the matches we'll miss Sinfield and Peacock the most. But we're looking in a good position to make the top 4 and ourselves and Wigan do have the playoff experience over the likes of Cas and Hull.
Previous 2 years of the Super 8's system, the team in 4th after 23 rounds have been on 28 points, so for us that's 6 wins from our remaining 12 which is very much achievable and a realistic target of 8/9 wins from 12 would leave us very well placed entering the Super 8's.
The upcoming month features some tough tests with Catalans away, without Watkins and Hall who'll be playing for England. Magic weekend vs Cas and another double game weekend for teams to get through with Warrington on the Friday and Widnes on the Monday again for us.
The cup can be a bit of a lottery with regards how the draw goes and who goes long into that competition could drop league points as a result especially the winners as ourselves and Hull have done in the last 2 years.

Given the shape of it I'm not surprised.

If the Giants do go down then i think that they could be finished as IMO Ken Davy seems to have given up on his ambitions for the club and tbh their crowds never really reached any great numbers when they were relatively successful,so maybe he has finally called it a day with his financial outlays
Moving forward could the Giants take the option to sell out and revive under an out of town franchise?
Would Ken Davy take the money and run?
I would be seriously worried if I was a Giants fan at this present time
