| Quote: Andy Gilder "Interesting statement from Kirke.
Reads like he was told he was going to be moved on to give the younger players more opportunities. So I wouldn't expect to see a replacement signed from outside the club, necessarily.
Peacock, Leuluai, Cuthbertson, Singleton, Yates, Mulhern, Baldwinson. Much in that set of props to frighten the opposition?'"
We have the element of surprise Andy

| I would not class him as a great but he has played his part in the golden era, and despite the criticism he has received on here has been repeatedly selected by successive coaches when the finals have come round.
We will need a new scapegoat, my monies on Mcguire.

| The prospect of going into next season with Lee Mossop is far more appealing than the prospect of a below par, stale Bailey and the simply not good enough Kirke.
Im undecided on what he can bring to us overall but before he left for OZ he was in the England squad for the WC.As a prop he is just coming into his best years and should surely offer more go forward than the two we have just released.
A good news day.

| Lee Mossop was (I thought) very good in 2012, not so hot in 2013, but he will be a good signing for whoever brings him in.
No suggestion yet that there is any link with Leeds, other than that he might want to come back to blighty.

Seams a really good guy and a good player too despite the comments on the forum.
He will be missed although probably about the right time to go.
Leeds should spend big for Chris Hill

| Outbidding teams like Wire for players they want to keep is a thing of the past. Wire are not going to sell Chris Hill.

| Looks like GH is moving on those who are past their leeds sell by date, and freeing up some salary cap.
Good luck to both Bailey and Kirke, you wrote your names in our history over the last 10 years, but it's time for some new and eager faces.
In Gawwy we Trust!

| He goes with a good pat on the back. I believe that for all the stick he gets he is a limited player who played the role which was asked of him. I have said for a few years that when Leeds lose Peacock they will have to replace the whole front row as the dynamic will be different. This looks like it is happening now, with Kirke and Bailey leaving.
It leaves us with two 36 year olds, a somewhat unknown quantity, and a youngster who should be starting to come into his own. It would be a little risky to go with that, but it wouldn't surprise me. Singleton needs to step up massively this next season

| Quote: G1 "Good luck to the lad. He played a (very small) role in our greatest era.
Maybe getting out of his comfort zone might do him good. In his 9 years he showed very occasional glimpses (mostly on the odd occasion he was used in the 2nd row).
Without being churlish, he should be easily replaceable.'"
Good luck to the lad, took his chance well and towed the line whilst other so called better players called to live up to promise.

| Quote: The Eagle "Singleton needs to step up massively this next season'"
Very true.
In 2014 I thought Mac handled Singleton well, in so far as he was given more game time and appearances. He was handed the opportunity but didn't take it. He was white hot against Bulls away, but struggled to put any lenghty run of form together. Massive year for Singleton but one of opportunity with the age of JP and Kylie, and the loss of Kike and Bailey, Singleton should be coming out of the blocks with the attitude of 'I can be trusted and produce'.

| So the Kir-minator has gone. Maybe partly explains his sheepishness at the CC trophy homecoming.
Kirke - 'I'll be back' (queue dramtic title music).
