Defensively yes, he is solid, hits hard and has a high work rate. He's also got a good engine and is quick out of dummy half but his distribution is probably his weakest suit and is ok at best.

I assume he has another club lined up? If this had happened this time last year Im sure we would have been in for him after his excellent loan spell. I suspect that moment is past now so I assume he will be heading for Wakefield or Bradford maybe? Cant speak too highly of his spell with us where I guess he had more freedom to do his own thing. He seems not to fit into the more structured game at Leeds. Hope he gets sorted!

Interesting that, considering the man he mainly played at hooker last year can't pass for toffee, and can't defend down the middle.

And in response, no IMO Aiton ain't that man.

Finds himself on the transfer list, rather than released.

Seems strange since his first choice all last season was Burrow icon_confused.gif d040.gif

The man's a buffoon if he has stated that.

You beat me to it....obviously I replied to the aptly named (at least here) 'bewildered' before coming to yours.

Quote: Fat Boy "For whatever reason I think he just didn't get along with BMcD - wish him all the best.

Now with the No.9 shirt vacant I really hope the the Aiton rumours aren't true and that GH has a top draw hooker up his sleeve... although I really doubt it and we'll get some spin about how we've been after Aiton for some time now and when the opportunity to sign him came up we had to jump at it quickly as there were several other (un-named) top SL clubs bidding for his signature.

It's been some time now since we've announced a signing that has made me feel a bit giddy and I get the feeling that next year will be exactly the same. Briscoe is without a doubt a great signing but did we really need him? ... not enough to get my juices flowing.'"

Feel exactly same as you.....have said same elsewhere. Fanatstic 1 to 5 at Leeds but we are desperate for a cracking forward, a GOOD hooker ...and maybe even a decent scrum half too. The idea of turning up to watch Kirke, Bailey and a second rate hooker just does not inspire hitting the M6 and M62 icon_sad.gif

Quote: Rogues Gallery "I did tell you on here about four years (it maybe five) that McShane would never make it. Then there was the other one, Kettlewell.

I see he is ripping it up as well.
You also stated that Liam Hood WOULD make it.

The Widnes supporters would likely disagree with you regarding McShane: seems there he was entrusted to play his natural game.

Understandable, that in the absence of such a player in the squad, McDermott employs a different strategy.

Not really when both Sinfield AND McShane (and Hood) could better defend down the middle and all undoubtedly pass better.

Understandable when two just outright aren't good enough, and the other was needed in the halves.

Simply a matter of opinion...esp with regards to the latter.

I don't what you will do when sinfield retires but it will probably give your right arm a rest
