I'm not even a Leeds fan but was gutted for them and their fans. I wanted to see a rugby game, not a wresting match!
My thoughts after the first few tackles was 'why is Silverwood reffing this game different to any superleague game of the last couple of years'. Was he under orders by the RFL to do that? We'd have had 4 or 5 penalties in the first few minutes normally, followed by a decent game.
Phil Clarke touched on it in commentary, but then the sky team backed off as though they'd had a warning not to 'detract from the occasion'.
Be interesting to see if Boots N All investigates tonight or whether we get the ususal sanitised drivel. Silverwood and Cummins should be asked to explain.

[sizeIf[/size Boots 'N All has any purpose whatsoever it should be to analyse the WCC game with regards the interpretation at the play the ball.
Phil Clarke (not anyone else FFS) can explain the 'dominant' and 'surrender' calls of the official and compare the time taken to play the ball with those in the average SL fixture.
