| I too have doubts about Momo and Miller but will give them until the end of the season to judge. Miller seems to play like a 7's player and the high risk plays he might get away with in 7's, he can't in 13 a side. Momo so far has looked bang average at best (probably being generous).
Miller can be a match winner, but I think he will always have brainfarts.

| I was really disappointed in the result and our second half performance. It was very hot out there, but that's where our lighter/fitter pack should work better - actually we looked knackered after 25 mins, players bent over, slow to get back into the line etc.
Don't think it helped us when McDonnell went off, he is a machine in D most games.
There were some good signs in that first half, it's the first time I feel we have gone toe-to-toe with one of the better sides effectively for a while.
This is why I think we need BA for next year too. He would have 10 games and training to assess the squad we have. Hopefully help to bring in a couple of better players. Then get stuck into them for a whole pre-season, which clearly some of the boys need. Then we might be top 4 material. Maybe.
I actually think our top-6 ambition is just about done for this year with the last 2 losses and our PD is rubbish. Said it before but I don't think RS was as dire a coach as most on here do; however the signings and re-signings we've made under him have hardly been inspiring. Even Croft has been patchy this year.
Again said it before but I'd much rather we brought in 2-3 real high quality signings this year, we absolutely don't need squad players now we need players who can break games, inspire their team mates and make something happen.

| I think that losing McDonnell was a contributing factor to the game. Not least because it highlights once more how paper thin we are. Frequently on our right edge you could see Croft holding longer than usual in defence as the inside man wasn’t as up to it.
I’ve said it before but Millar is another Lolohea for me. Might have some magic but will cost you more than he will win. I was much more confident in Myler at FB which says a lot. He’s certainly made as many errors as Frawley but as yet hasn’t lost his place? I’d give him a week off and let Edgell have a run out.
Smith has been poor all season. I don’t know if it’s a recent thing, but he’s so slow in both mind and body. Is he injured? I would suggest he should put on some more mass and become a rotation prop in order to get the most out of his career. Minchella out played him in every aspect at the weekend.

He seemed to go well at Cats didn't he? But I agree, I'm not sure we look as physical as we should. Be interesting if he's retained with a new coaching staff.

Can't disagree. For whatever reasons, Cam has struggled most of this year. Miller has chances still but BA has to find a way to focus and discipline his play better. It's not good breaking a ton of tackles and looking tricky on the run, if you're throwing the ball away on tackle 1 and 2. Players like this infuriate me. You have to learn when to play and when to control.

| Just to say that Hull KR raised £12,000 for the MND cause thanks to fans buying a special edition 'Rob Burrow 7' tee and a few fans walking from Craven Park to Headingley for the game.
I hope you noticed the many Robins fans wearing the 'Rob Burrow 7 Hull KR shirt' which was designed especially for this game.

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"
Alex Murphy 2011: |
|
| Quote: Exeter Rhino "One error (admittedly critical) from Momirovski and he's already being rounded on by the fans. I don't see any of the other backs doing better. I'd sooner relieve Newman of his marquee status than sack Momirovski, to be honest.
IMO Mom did okay in the rest of the game and was unlucky not to score (if only for Fusitua's leg getting in the way). He should be given the benefit of the doubt for his second year, especially as he didn't have a full pre-season and has had injury issues as well. I noted that he was bringing the ball out of our 20 a bit more against HKR and looked comfortable in this role..'"
It’s not you that was calling him “The Momster” earlier on this season was it ? He’s as far from a “Momster” as you could get this fella. For the first half of the season he was anonymous or poor, and for the recent part of the campaign he has stood out for some of the poorest attempts at tackling you will see in Superleague. I’d say he’s a 3/10 and on one of his better days a 4/10. He pretty much sums up where we are as a team. Instead of the Aussie centre that blasts holes in opposition defences and smashes players in the tackle we got Momorovski. One of the most underwhelming signings we’ve ever made.

Totally agree , he and our other so called star centre are stealing a wage and both need to be gone .

Yes, it was me. A bit of fun, and I think you are reading too much into it. "Momster" sounds like 'monster', but I was not implying he's ever going to be that sort of centre. Newman's supposed to be the physical specimen of the two, right?
I don't think he's ever been a hole-blasting centre you are expecting, but he obviously has some pedigree in the NRL, so I think it's still worth showing him a bit of patience.
For context, and not that I often agree with his analysis, but Peter Smith has given plenty of low player ratings in recent weeks, but he actually rated Mom as one of our better players against HKRHad a decent game, heavily involved without being able to break clear 6[/i

| Fully expecting Blease to have 'The Momster' on notice for next season, he's just so far below what is expected from an NRL centre it's actually ridiculous.

| Hardly alone in that regard.
Miller and Frawley haven't really covered themselves in glory and they got a preseason in.
I think there are alot of things to sort for next year and the top two have to be coach and the pack.
Imo it feels like another " three year rebuild" all over again, which was always a danger with a less experienced coach and so many project signings
