Quote: Gotcha "Who got a ban again?
I know who should've got a ban with all the comical foot stamping he was doing and the cringeworthy personal insults he was throwing around... and not for the first time too.

And yes we all know who the troll is on here, just like we all know who his mates are that never call him out but are all over me every time I do. There's a word for people like that.

Attempt 6....

So can we get back on topic please? I've tried multiple times now.

Does anyone know if Segeyaro is still training with Cronulla at all? Any other updates on what's happening?

Not too sure, but while Segs ability is undoubted, there must be huge question marks over other aspects of him for no NRL club to table a nominal bid which we would most likely accept.

No.

He has been training on his own with a personal trainer, though he is living with best mate Wade Graham in Cronulla and has been spotted playing touch rugby in the public parks of the Shire with a bunch of mates, which included about 6 Sharks squad members - I'm guessing this is where the confusion in some has come from.

He's certainly not been any part of the Sharks pre-season training and as such, you'd think any transfer fee value is dropping by each day that it gets closer to the season start. GH is going to have to accept that NRL teams just won't pay a fee - the fact it counts on the cap, and then any club has to pay an additional payment to the value of 50% of the fee to the NRL pretty much rules it out (although the NRL did make allowances for the Sam Burgess fee - not counting it on the cap and waiving the additional 50% fee for Souths - but that's the NRL for you, the only consistency is their inconsistency - I'd be VERY surprised if they did that for the Sharks signing Segeyaro).

Not looking good for him then is it?. The fee might be dropping but I'd be very surprised to see GH let him go for peanuts at this stage. Leeds definitely look to be in it for the long haul unless a good offer or a decent player swap happens.

Hopefully the next NRL player who gets tapped up back home goes about things the right way and doesn't play the "home sick" card.

Well he's shown some of those aspects in how he's dealt with this.

The Sharks should have plenty of cap space now Barba has definitely gone. As for a fee, whatever amount is agreed would be kept quiet. IMO its just a matter of negotiation - the Sharks need a hooker, Leeds whilst not needing Segeyaro won't really want the distraction and costs of a court case (even if they may get them back if they win, there is always risk attached to going down that sort of route).

One thing I've read from some people including a few on Cronulla boards, is that Leeds should just let him go now as they've now "PROVED THEIR POINT".

I disagree, if we let him go now then they (the agents) just think this tactic works even if they had to wait a bit longer than usual for this one to work out. Also people just think we're silly for crumbling this close to the NRZl season after making such a big noise about it.

We should stick it out until a transfer fee is offered and if it isn't then no skin off Leeds' back. People can say restraint of trade but he's been out of favour for nearly 12 months and no one else offered him a contract for 2017. Add in that no one has offered Leeds a fee then the argument we're stopping him from playing or earning a wage is pretty weak when no one is showing an interest in him.

This is a fair point - I personally don't agree but I can see the argument.

I had hoped this would be sorted with Cronulla being here last week in guessing Luke Lewis shooting down any interest in a move to SL put the brakes on it all.

Cas have agreed out of court with Sale over Solomona. Hopefully we can do the same with Cronulla over Segeyaro and at least get a bit of money out of this episode, which could be put towards the new southstand.

Which could be put towards strengthening the team!
