| Really disappointing if true, he looks to be getting over the injury problems, and will clearly be a top player. As others have said, I think it?s a bit young to go over, and doubt he?ll be playing first grade for the first couple of seasons at least.
No doubt the signing is linked with Agar being at the Warriors. He originally touted Gannon as a generational talent, so must have given a strong recommendation.
What are our back row prospects coming out the academy at the minute? Any on the verge of breaking into the first team in the next couple of years to take Gannons spot?

Ben littlewood and Presley Cassell are highly rated.

Feel let down by Gannon, club stuck by him with his long long lay off. Poor from the player imo and he?s going to NRL far too early. Yet more top young talent we can?t keep hold of though
What do you mean by the club stuck by him? Was he not under contract? Why would your club not support one of its injured players..?

Ben littlewood and Presley Cassell are highly rated. BA has already said he rates Littlewood.IIRC he said he's my type of seconded rower.

| The uncertainty of the coaching situation next year can't help with negotiating with current or new players

I see Langley recently threw his hat in the ring. Seems to be doing a really good job in defence, and speaks really well. I wonder whether we would need a better attack coach to supplement his style if he's appointed. I'm not against continuing in the BA style and provide continuity in the club, rather than bring someone new in with a different 'philosophy', who wants to totally butcher the squad again.

| very much a mutual decision after he was told another head knock puts him at a very high risk of complications later in life. He needed to sit out last year.

| It would seem Gannon deal not dead, Blease confirmed we have offered him a huge deal and just waiting on a decision from the player. So be interested to see how it goes.

| Let them down gently... We did all we could, made the best offer we can, still not decided, he's gone.

| Tbf if an NRL club wants any player enough then they can always financially outmuscle any SL club many times over.
The decision for the player is, is it the right move for me at the right time?
They can back themselves to make it, coupled with financial reward, and if they do then fair play to them.
If they go and don't make it, they pick up a nice wedge but could be warming a bench for a year or two. Doesn?t do much for their longer term stock.
They can decide the time isn't right and hold off for a year or two, not risk free but might be the making of them.
Choices.
