| Only good thing about going to the dark side is he'll definitely become SiR KEV.

| What happens over the next few weeks regarding the leadership structure and personel in roles will define the next three years direction of the club and team. To lose the director of rugby and your coach at the same time as when you have significant recruitment/contracts negotiation taking place is an untenable situation without new appointments in place. If Agars situation is about achieving the best salary to support his family then if the club believes he's the right man for the job we should pay him accordingly. Kev has earned the right to make his own decisions however unless its a stepping stone to a different career path similar to the Andy Farrell route it does appear a strange move. I know we have been hit hard by covid and the stadium investment but to achieve the potential of the corporate package investment we need a competitive team capable of challenging at the top end particularly with Leeds Utd so strong currently. Hopefully negotiations are currently taking place and the club want to announce replacements for next year at the same time as confirming the departures if they happen. The incoming Director of Rugby must be involved in the decisions taken around recruitment and retention otherwise its years in the wilderness

| The rumour about Agar is more concerning to me than Sinfield. If Agar is our man then I agree we need to pay him the going rate. If he wants to do something else - which could be the role he was recruited for or plausibly the vacant DOR role - that's fine but ideally we wouldn't want to lose him at the same time as Sinfield.
Announcing both are leaving with no replacements lined up is worse case scenario.

| I wonder if Kevin regrets not going to Union earlier in his career ? I remember Brian MCDERMOTT commenting when he retired at Leeds and going to the union club saying " hes a fan of the game "

I think he made the right call as a player.
Really tough for forwards and half backs to convert successfully as the game is so different.
Speedy backs like Robinson and Ashton are the only really successful converts.
But he may have a coaching itch to scratch in Union.
Be gutted though....

Is that from a trusted source, Marty? Have seen a report that says the same but it seems to have gone missing.

Good to hear, particularly if Kev is crossing over to Leicester. Losing two of the senior management team would be hugely destabilising. At least this means some continuity. The players seem to have a lot of respect for Agar and I'm guessing this means there shouldn't be too much deviation from any current recruitment plans.

| I don’t know if any watched those behind the scenes videos that the rhinos put out last year after certain games. I think after the cc challenge cup final it was very telling that when agar went into the dressing room afterwards, the players all went wild. He gets a lot of stick, but I think players love him.
See also how much support he got from ex-players when he was appointed on social media.

As Ive posted before the stick Agar gets from some fans (not particularly Leeds fans) is ridiculous. I don’t think anyone in the game has a bad word to say about him, he’s clearly knowledgeable and passionate.
Now im not saying he should be our long term coach but given what hes had to deal with and how he has got the team clearly playing for him he deserves more time st the helm, I for one would be sorry to see him go and would like to see how he gets on with a full year without any COVID interruptions.
The semi against Wigan and the game against Saints this year were coaching masterclasses IMO, maybe Sinfield feels happy to leave as the club is in good hands, who knows.

Not really sure how a 26-18 defeat can be described as a coaching masterclass!!!
