"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"
Alex Murphy 2011: |

| Quote: Superted "Also, I'm not sure how Inu wasn't sin binned for his shoulder charge straight after the scuffle. He steamed in from out wide and blindsided the man with a tucked arm blatant shoulder charge that was penalised. Now I don't agree with the rule, but if the rule is that deliberate foul play is a yellow card, then it doesn't come more deliberate than that.'"
It was very, very dangerous. I haven’t seen someone lifted off their feet like that for a while. It was car crash stuff, and how Hicks kept his card in his pocket is anyone’s guess. People go on about James Child, but for me Hicks is by far the worst ref in Superleague.

Also pleased to hear on radio that Golding made 2 or 3 try saving tackles to keep Widnes out.
If he continues playing well will Walker come straight back in to the team or will Golding retain his place?'"
I don’t see Walker coming back into the team next week if he’s fit. Golding was outstanding yesterday, caught a lot of nasty high balls under pressure, and returned the ball with a lot more intent than last season. For me it’s his shirt to lose now.

| Cheers.
Hall should be fit to face Cats then with a packet of strepsils in his pocket.
I would also hope Golding keeps his place until either injury forces him out or he plays like a donkey.

Mcdermott said Hall will miss two weeks.

45465_1384791340.jpg And last but not least, to all those people who wrote this team off.
To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

| Really didn't expect to get anything from this game. For various reasons, we have a terrible recent away record against Widnes and with the current injury woes the omens for improving this record were not good. Let's just hope we can come through this early season injury crisis not too far off the pace of the SL front runners.
Wakey joint top...jeez there's still hope for us all.

| It could be a long 6 weeks or so until bodies return.
At Warrington we scored 2 tries from kicks so why haven't we kicked the ball since? Running the ball on the last on that surface where it could bounce anywhere seems crazy to me.
I think Myler is ok (not much more than that) but I think he will improve as season goes on but am I only one who thinks Dwyer is a poor signing and never Leeds class? He will come up with occasional dart but his rugby brain is non existent for me and I wouldn't want to play with him. He's as likely to scoot on last in his own half as anything. As a first receiver he must be a nightmare.
As for Sutcliffe he has talent but let's games drift along when he needs to get involved more. Never a half.
Keinhorst looked to be limping most of 2nd half which is worrying.

| Keinhorst is going for a scan on an injured knee I believe.
Agree with the Sutcliffe views too.
Maybe we should offer Briscoe and Sutcliffe plus £75k for Tom Johnstone instead of the reportedly £150k plus Keinhorst.

| While I agree about Sutcliffe not being a six it’s got to be frustrating for him spending the off season working on being a centre now four games in and he’s played a game and a half there and is back to being shunted around again, why not play the fit half back (lilley) instead of him bringing the kicking T on.

I actually like Dwyer, so at this stage I wouldn't agree with you Marty. Think he has shown enough to show a good impact for the team so far.
The situation with the stand off is pretty criminal for a club like Leeds. We don't have a good stand off throughout the whole club outside the under 16's. That is not very good going, we get away with it, but still not good going. I am including Moon in that, because whilst I think he is the best option we have, I don't think he is of the standard we should quite rightly expect of a top club. He should, if we had a decent stand off, be back at centre where he is miles above the likes of Sutcliffe and Keinhorst.
I agree with you on the kicks by the way, but think Sunday was probably more a case of the wingers used are not the same standard as those at Warrington, to repeat the act.

| Bit too early to form an overall judgment on either Myler or Dwyer for me.for the next month at least Myler is likely to be playing off a pack on the back foot for a lot of the time and Dwyer will be asked to do different roles to the one he will have when we have a fitter squad of players to pick from.
At the moment the whole team is forced to do it tough and its a case of trying to grind out a few results and keep us in a decent position.
