i would agree in the final. But history tells us not the case in the Semi, and not the oppossition we have this time. But that is still only one match.

You forgetting about some of those semis vs Saints? 2003, 2010, 2015? Wigan in 2012 weeks after they put50 on us in the league? Finally getting past Bradford in 99?
And what's wrong with the opppsition this time? Current cup holders, looking extremely confident in this competition after winning it last year beating their nearest league rivals in the semis and final and having just dismissed the form team of this year?

Not forgetting at all the prior 2013, and had we got Wigan this time I think we woudl have had to raise much more. But the teams now compared to then are simply not the same, and play anything like they did just a few years ago. Hull are a poor side, they are where they are because of the oppossition out there, rather than been a good side. We are exactly the same. That dosn't make either team a comparison to those other years you mention.

Can anyone honestly say if Leeds won it this year it is a better achievement than a club like Cas finishing top of league? That would be some barrell scraping.'"
Yes of course winning the cup is better than winning the LLS!
That is why in 2015 we kicked a penalty to tie the game against Huddersfield, because guaranteeing a home semi final was more important than risking it for the LLS
Also in 2014 we basically threw away the LLS to focus on the CC
Many sports have a playoff system and in the majority of these you dont even get anything for finishing top
Also you cant say that the top of the league means much when we have an arbitrary fixture in the magic weekend and then play some teams twice at home, some twice away and some neither

Sorry what have I missed?
No matter what size your club, how can the LLS mean anything when there are a bunch of arbitrary fixtures and many teams rest players because of the CC?

Hull have a team of great individual players but are poorly coached. They rarely put together great flowing moves of expansive rugby but can hammer teams one on one.

What have you understood is more apt?
How clear can the statements be? A big club playing five games with three against lower league oppossition, is not as good an achievement as a smaller club consistently performing to top the league after 29 rounds. What a club like Leeds back in 2015 have to do with that point I am unsure of. You appear be trying to argue another point, one that has been done to death many times, but one that is not relevent to what is said this time.

And that same poorly coached team, would have been a bottom four team prior to 2014, against the teams around then.

| For me as a 40+ year cas fan I have never seen a team that's consistent enough to finish top of the league and might not again whereas any half decent team with a good draw can have their day in the sun as we have now and again.
So personally I value the lls very highly for us this year but I can see why for some clubs with a history of success might not value it as highly.

I would love to see an all Yorkshire GF again...we haven't had one since we lost to Bradford in 2005. Us, yourselves and Hull all look in a good position at the minute, and i hope it's two out of the three that meet for something different. Wakefield have had a good year so far too, but it i just can't see them getting in the mix although it would also be nice if they were

I understand Cas a a smaller club historically and we have more fans, but they currently have more internationals than us, and given we are paying some of Hardakers salary, they probably have a more expensive squad than us
So no I dont agree that Cas finishing top would mean more than a CC for us
If Salford won the CC and we won the GF, I could say that they had the better achievement given how long its been since they won a trophy, but not Cas with the LLS

But you don't always get as kind a draw as we did this time, that's why the cup is so fascinating. If Cas had beat Hull on Sunday and then met us they would have likely had to go Saints -Hull - Leeds - Wigan to win the CC at Wembley for the first time in over 30 years...what an epic result that would be, a story fans would be telling for generations... the LLS shield winners are forgotten by October of the same year!
Like i say, it would mean a little more than usual to Cas for obvious reasons, but in the grand scheme of things it sits a long way behind a GF or CC victory no matter how you win them.
