I was on the minority on here, with you, excited about McDermotts appointment, and continued to back him through 2011, through all the barrage. I also stated at end of 2009 that unless we start to change the team 2011 would be the last for a few years we would win anything. At the moment I am a year out.

I did rubbish the coach in 2012 and write us off, hands up. I did this on the back of shocking performances, and a clear picture that McDermott simply wasn't coaching them.

I continued to rubbish him in 2013, after more shockingly poor performances, and really bad coaching. We won nothing.

This year, whilst I still have my doubts about him, I haven't critisized him at all, and have said all year if he wins anything this year he deserves the credit, as it is now his team.

I didn't quote the rest of your post as it was arrogant and just fog knitting. You said we KNOW we can win from anywhere, when clearly this was an historical thing, not 2014.

Completely agree with this. But taking 2011 out of the question, what would then happen in 2012 in our current set up? we would be back to what McDermott has done this year. That's the bottom line of it.

A new coach will always make an "immediate" impact on a team lost with confidence and direction. But would Maguire really make a difference going forward then with those very same past it players?"

We were lucky at Leeds over a number of years, because our players were great at a young age and therefore were growing better together. Coaches did not need to drastically change things, but just add to it. What we need now though is major surgery.

These comments of yours Gotcha were made on the eve of the Leeds coach and players winning the Championship two years on the trot and a World Club Championship and now three Wembley Cup finals.

The above expert rubbish opinion is not made up but spouted by you with your name on it - and prove my point that you rubbished the coach and the players in 2011 until late on it dawned on you that you were wrong and so you swopped sides before reverting to type in 2012 with more rubbishing of coach and players

In 2011 and 2012, without going into a long winded explanation of the teams explaining why, we basically played sh*t teams up until the semi when we actually played a serious contender. Both those games could have gone either way, with an aggregate margin of 3 points.

That just isn't the way things are now. Cas are tough. Warrington are tough. You have wigan..durrh. Huddersfield are tough. The route from lower down would be trecherous and probably too much. Saints are never easy no matter what. 3rd was too much last year, playing 3 decent teams on the bounce. Fancy it again? I don't.

Leeds best chance of the grand final is to finish as high up as they can, get the home tie, win it, then be a home tie away from the final with a week off. To be so blase about losing some of the remaining league games is mental.

To say a different coach would get a better result from a group of players is different from saying the coach is no good. If this is all Juan has on Gotcha then all the triumphalism on here is misplaced

All Juan Cornetto has done is back up exactly what I said was put. He had no need to spend his hours copying and pasting, how sad must that individual be, I already said it on previous page, and he has just backed it up.

Why not actually post the quotes also in the context they were? Do they not just prove you wrong again Juan Cornetto. They are all from the one thread, and all in the same day, not over the season, as I said on previous page.

Think you'll find everybody makes errornous views in hindsight on here, difference is some will have selective memory about it or try and make out they said something else. I myself said around 2011 we should look at getting rid of McDermott at the end of the season (no point doing in mid-season as there isn't usually a load of available top quality coaches). I also argued/thought around mid 2012 that I couldn't see McDermott ever being able to guide us to a top 2 finish in the regular season (he's pretty close ATM). I also just recently said JJB probably shouldn't be a starter when he returns from injury but he's proved me wrong.
