Dorn was the victim of a headbutt (a headbutt in the loosest sense of one), but he was part of the reason there was an incident at all. So not blameless.'"
Not really,
If you can be ar$ed to read back I gave my view of the incident back on page 1 which was a 2 game ban & a £300 fine and my view is still the same. I think it will be harsh for him to miss the CC semi and he is probably beating himself up with the fact his dismissal cost his team a point anyway.

Ill say no more.'" Fortunately the RFL aren't directly involved apart from providing the tea and biccies.
Which member of the disciplinary team do you think favour Leeds? Is it the QC or some amongst the panel of ex-players (unless Ikram Butt is down for it next week).

Much like the ladies who went with Nazi officers during the war in occupied countries he should have his head shaved by an angry mob in City square.
Then forced to march to Red Hall while the people lining the streets throw rotten fruit at him.
Before he then enters an early guilty plea and get's told it's sending off sufficient.'"
But thats a 20 mile march from Leeds next to a muddy field according to Eamonn McManus.Have pity on the poor bloke please.

| Quote: Jamie101 "Can someone explain why JP shouldn't have made this kick? I have only played rugby a handful of times but did used to spend a fair bit of time when we had the rugby balls out drop-goaling them between the sticks and did so with relative ease.
Why is it that only one or two max per team are able to even try drop goals? They all have legs and do it for a job. As I say, I am crap at rugby, but can work the mechanics of dropping the ball out my hands, aiming at the sticks and kicking the ball through it.
I went a bit mental that he didn't make it. But then as a football player for 20 years am i being unsympathetic? Is the reality that actually drop-kicking a rugby ball IS a difficult thing to do..?'"
How well would Wayne Rooney do in goal for Man Utd?

If he had his wallet in his pocket it would almost block the goal.

| As a hull kr fan I must say there is a lot made of a nothing incident, ok he pushed his head into dorn , sky behaved like it was a public assault and some idiots jump on the ban him for life band wagon, if sinfield gets any more then a fine is a travesty to the game.
And before anyone pulls the roll model card sinfield has 14 seasons of exemplary disciplinary so one second of brain freeze doesn't make him satan. So IMO SOS, fine and move on.

| Should be a two much ban plain and simple. It needs punishing but tempers flare, things boil over. Least player can see it coming unlike a cannonball tackle really.
However, disagree with the Leeds fans claiming Sinfield had his leg trapped. That's a load of tosh. Sinfield keeps moving over the top of Dorn and both legs are free to move. It's only when Dorn tries to get up that they become entangled a little.
Sinfield held him down, it was a blatant penalty and a clear headbutt.

| Quote: Lord God Jose Mourinho "Sinfield has probably done 10,000 kicks during games. Peacock around 10.
Peacock wasn't expecting the ball, he was taking a rest. And he was in such need of that rest that he didn't even realise he was standing in the perfect place to receive the ball for the kick. I don't actually blame Burrow (?) for passing it to him, I blame Peacock for being there.
Given that Peacock wasn't expecting the ball, virtually never kicks, never mind taking a drop goal, given that it was a possible match winning goal I've no problem with it being missed. I'd have expected Sinfield to knock it over from where he was, but I wouldn't have been overly surprised if he'd missed it as well.'"
Ok, they sound like fair enough reasons. Maybe there would be something to be gained for them all to practice a few drop goals each at the end of training a couple of times a week. Imagine the curve ball when the opposition charges out to Sinners and he then passes it to someone else who then has a more open shot.
I just don't understand how you can be a professional player in a sport but seemingly never do certain parts of the game as they "aren't your position". If nothing else, surely you would want to do it just to see if you can.

TBF I've seen worst attempts from 'proper' kickers.

That'll be a Sky copyright Youtube link will it ? The sort that aren't allowed ? Regards McFld.
Although it's not what caused the penalty, it's quite clear Dorn did lock Sinfields legs and for those saying it was an aggressive headbutt, it was more a case of him trying to square up with Dorn but Dorn didn't go in for it.

now back back 3 seconds before that and you will Sinfield on his feet pushing into Dorn trying to turn him to gain an extra second and that is what gave the penalty away.
