Please enlighten me as to why Ryan Bailey isn't one of the worst players I have ever seen.
Yes,4 grand final rings.
Representative honours.
A "mainstay" of a Leeds pack that should do more damage than it actually does.
Does all that constitute a good player, well in your eyes it does, but not to me.
By the way lay off the personal insults,it demeans you.'"
IF you are new to the forum and not another tin pot troll (yet to be decided) then welcome and of course you are entitled to freely post your opinions on any player ,coach or subject you wish to.
The main reason you incurred such a response was because your opening post is the same tired old tripe we get from every internet troll ,crank ,know nowt every season and is at best predictable and again to be fair all you've done is slate a player that has achieved so much during his time here since coming through our acadamy without offering any reasonable back up points imho.
Now IF that's your genuine opinion of Ryan again fair enough but his record is decent enough especially on the honours board EVERY coach has picked him when fit within their 1st choice 17 since his debut and lets be honest that's a bit more than luck and we all know there are no "passengers" in a RL game or you soon get found out.
Oh and one other thing whilst you are well within your right to post don't forget it's a public forum and others have the right to disagree and offer their own opinions on what you post.

| Quote: Bullseye "Crooks is a must for any dire Leeds XIII. His time at Leeds typified why they under achieved for so long. I'd have thought someone would've stirred things up by including Schofield too!
'"
I must admit to having a soft spot for Crooksy. He was one of the best players I've ever seen, just not in a Leeds shirt. He suffered a really horrible shoulder injury against Wigan in the JP semi at Bolton after only being with us 3-4 months and missed the rest of the season. Most of us start "filling out" around the 30yo mark but Crooksy started a little earlier, 23. I saw him roll out (quite litteraly) for his comeback game in the A team near the end of the season and it was like watching a burger van with legs. There is the phrase "shadow of his former self", well Crooksy was a full blown total solar eclipse. The GB tour was that summer and I don't think he even made that.
He failed to get in my team simply becuase at a game against Wigan at CP, while being tackled in the face by Greame West, he simply threw the ball away and he punched the $h1t out of him. The Goon fan I was stood next to (who had been shouting "'ead 'unter" and "gerrum onside" at every tackle) went purple and nearly had a coronary. Hilarious.

| Quote: terrywebb13 "I'm sorry but why do i have to substantiate my opinion to you.
'" Dude, chill out. You nominated Bailey. LS16 has justified why he disagrees with that by quantifying why Bailey is a decent player, in his opinion, citing the players significant achievements.
All you have done is say "he's crap" with little substance to substantiate that.
Now, of course you are entitled to that opinion but once you post it on a public forum it is going to be challenged. If it is challenged you'll become a welcomed and respected poster on the forum if you're articulate enough to justify it, even if people still disagree.
If you're unable to do that you will be in good company, well, you will be in company on here.

| Quote: LS16_Rhino "4 Championship rings (although now stolen)
Leeds 1st Team regular for nearly a decade
Representative honours
Having a differing opinion to the main stream is easily tolerated but when you offer nothing but pathetic drivel with absolutely no evidentiary support then being branded a Muppet is tame by comparison.
Show some substantiation for your dismal claim and I will gladly debate you in a mature and reasoned manner otherwise you shall be stamped with the big red Muppet logo.
So… either put up or shut up.'"
Given Bailey's overall contribution (in comparison to other team members) to the 4 SL titles, then yes... it's not an unreasonable assessment that his 4 Championship Rings were indeed stolen
No successful team can be chocka full of star players... they also require some non-flashy workhorses whose work is integral to success, but whose work in the main goes unnoticed. And if the competition isn't too flash (and that is most certainly the case in SL) a successful team can even get away with panning out it's squad with a pretender or an hanger-on or two disguised as integral members of the team... now that's where Bailey's role comes in ---> ordinary metres made, usually third man in the tackle sprinkled with a hint of niggle, a chicken win tackle here and there, the odd stray elbow, and then a hasty retreat behind someone like Rob Burrow when an opposition player decides to react and threaten to smack him.
On the topic of representative honours, the last time he played for GB was way back in 2004 when GB lost 4-44 in the Tri Nations Final at Elland Rd. His only other representative honours were mostly off the bench for England in 2006 in a Mickey Mouse tournament which also saw Ashley Gibson and Danny Williams getting several gigs in the First XIII. Well whoop de doo! If a graphical representation of Bailey's career potential or usefulness (Y-axis) were to be plotted as an illustration, it would resemble a ski slope starting near the top in 2002 with a sharp descent from 2004 to 2007, to be swiftly followed by a near perfect linear association with the X-axis.
If the criteria for substantiating a player and his worthiness is how many Championship Rings he has in his possession (stolen or otherwise), Ian Kirke must be a world class genius. The selective way in which this particular criteria is applied to the likes of Bailey, Diskin and Donald merely illustrates the ted nature of applying it in the first place.

That is actually very funny.

| Keith, neither Kirke or Bailey could realistically be described as Leeds worst ever players, whatever their contributions to GF successes.

| terrywebb13 I predict has been 'owned' by TMFMISL at some point of his life. He backs up his argument with nothing, so what fuels his fire?

Too old to have been "owned" by "TMFMISL"
I just don't think he adds much to any Leeds team he has played in.
Doesn't gain yards.
Poor tackler.
Punches well below his weight for such a big man.
Of course you are going to disagree and that is your right.

It's always easier to point the finger at others than looking within.
Your argument is awful, poorly presented, without substance to back up your claims. i.e. for Bailey's game I rarely hear people talk down his defensive game. Again you are way off the mark. I can't see where you're coming from. Do you?

Yes I do.
Thank you for pointing out the error of my ways.
I stand corrected.
