Quote: LS13 "B0llox
You never know what you are gonna do in such situations until you are in them . '"
If you weren't such an idiot you'd have read that I
hoped I would step in to protect someone from an attacker but I wouldn't hope to step in to stop a robber from taking money from a shop. If you weren't so thick you'd realise that I was acknowledging that you don't know how you'd react until you're in that situation.
But one thing's for sure, if everyone knows that William Hill's give a couple of grand for apprehending a robber, the amount of people who do try and stop a robber will be significantly higher than if the act was not rewarded.
Quote: LS13 "Woud you tackle an armed robber ?'"
I said I hoped I wouldn't. An armed robber is usually after a companies cash or high value items from a company. Why in hell should I risk my life to save a sack full of paper or some trinkets that are insured anyway. The company won't want their customers risking their lives to protect their insured items, the police will advise against going up against armed robbers, anyone with a brain would agree.
Quote: LS13 "Would you break your way into a burning house and rescue the family inside ?'"
I'd say probably not. If the family don't know how to get out of their own house when it's on fire, how would I know how to get them out? I'd hope I quickly called for the fire brigade and offered as much assistance as possible to ensure the family were saved, but I don't think that adding myself to the death toll would be a particular smart thing to do.
Quote: LS13 "Would you floor three muggers that tried to have your phone ?'"
I'd hope that I handed over the phone if there were three muggers and I was cornered. I'm not so up myself that I think I can take on three muggers who are probably armed, knew in advance what they were going to do and obviously outnumber me anyway.
Quote: LS13 "You can't say for sure until you are there . The last thing on your mind will be risk assessment .'"
The first thing on your mind will be a risk assessment you fool.
The three muggers, the risk assessment you're making is that you could get stabbed or severely beaten if you try and keep on to your phone worth a few hundred quid at most.
The risk assessment of the fire is that you are killed or severely burned while trying to save them.
The risk assessment of tackling the armed robber is that they shoot you or stick a knife in you.
