Shenton more feasable, heard done deal, but how many times we heard that, although the source also knew Cas were leaving Chase Westerman etc out last week while the bookies were still giving cas only 10 start, next time I saw him he was £600 better off.

I would be disappointed if it was Shenton. I dont think he will ever get near Keiths quality. He will be 24 this year. If you arent a feared centre at 24, you never will be imo.

If we arent going for a big name (and unfortunately that means Australia/New Zealand) i would rather we give the gig to Watkins and Coady.

Shenton will want a decent packet, and i think we could spend our money elsewhere

a source at cas told me leeds were chasing both shenton and westerman but shenton was prob going to wigan while hull was westermans prefered destination

I'd rather see what we have with Watkins for a season than sign Shenton.

I'm of the same opinion.

Watkins is still work in progress. There is no doubt he holds skill. But it's just how much and alongside that how much development of the 'basics' he is capable of?

Whereas with Shenton I feel what you see is what you get. And that doesn't make me salivate.

I always feel you should be pro-active in this area. Signing Shenton is like rolling a 3. But if you gamble and pick Watkins you could just as easy score a 2 or a 5.

I know what I would hold out for.
