Quote: Sibbs Rhinos "I find it amazing after two defeats that other fans have come to the conclusion that we are a spent force and will not be making the play offs etc. The fans come onto our board to wind us up, and whatever the response is it ends up with us being bitter. Imagine if we did this every time we recorded a victory. I cannot wait until these clubs slip up, as I for one, will not be quiet about it when they do.'"

Think you missing the point Sibbs, I only posted on here cos some Leeds fan had said you should be beating teams like Wakey.

My question was Why? Some fans think it's there god given right to beat certain teams? Leeds are GF winners for last 3 years and rightly so but I need to stress LAST 3 YEARS, does not give them any guarentee which teams they will beat THIS year.

I don't like arrogance and sometimes I bites you hard in the ass as shown now against both Cas and Wakey where the best teams on the day won.

I have not once said Leeds will not win the GF this year just think it's gonna be very close from top to bottom and Hull, Huddersfield, Wigan and Warrington will have some say on the outcome along with teams like Wakey and Cas who deserve to be up there the way they are playing.

It's much more enjoyable watching close games where any team can win the game and the salary cap seems to be working

I share the sentiment but its' been Leeds vs Saints 3 years in a row in the GF so before all of the other clubs start patting themselves on the back lets see if they've caught up to us both in October, rather than February.

Yup.

I never said the referee penalised his sideburns.
You ought to sign John Mccririck the when the ref is spending all game penalising him you could be scoring tries left right and a046.gif

Yep, and also see Catalans playoff performances (getting within an inch of Old Trafford) from 8th position.

The last couple of years have shown that with the like of Leeds, Saints, Bradford (pre Macnamara) aiming to peak at the back end of the season, then there is an opportunity to get some unexpected points early in the season. Wakey did it last year as did Quins and Cas. This gives them the opportunity to be in the mix for the play offs despite unimpressive form at the back end of the season. It also allows the muppets on Sky to keep claiming that this year is the best ever for Super League.

Start putting more belief in your team as fans then and stop being victims.

I can't really see anywhere in this thread where anyone has said Leeds have the God given right to beat Wakefield. They might have said that they expect to beat Wakefield or that we possibly should be beating Wakey, but I let you into a secret, that is what belief and expectation from the fans does. Yiu guys really need to try it!

Ok, question, did you expect that Wakefield would beat Leeds on Sunday. You might have hoped but I bet you thought you were, in the balance or probability, going to lose... the bookies did!

I am then going to ask all the Leeds fans on this board who think that Leeds do have a God given right to beat Wakefield or any SL to put their hands up...

The word mediocre has been used by a Wakey of his own team, but no Leeds fan has used that word...

Wakefield actually finished with 5 wins from their last 5 regular round matches.
Which sort of blows your theory.
HTH.
