He did and he was jealous. I'm just not sure who of.

| Quote: Andy Gilder "Yet when a coach tries to impose a structure, we get performances like the first half on Saturday.
England looked much better playing in a more "off the cuff" style in the second forty.'"
We played to a structure in the first half
I thought the improvement in the second half was down to an increase in intensity and the plugging of the gaps on the right. That meant we got more ball. In the first when we had the ball there seemed to be no structure, just desperation passing and that led to errors.
Off the cuff is fine so long as the playmakers have runners and support, there was a bit more of that in the 2nd half. Thing is you do need a bit of structure at times, especially on the last play so people have an idea of what kick they're chasing/contesting.

| If that little interplay with Tomkins had come off we'd all be saying what a pair of magicians they both are. Four points in it with five to go and England in the ascendancy. Something to think about.
So DM didn't have a ground breaking game. He's a confidence player etc etc.. he's also human.
4 minutes to go, little step, show and go, gas to the corner and all of a sudden he's the hero again. I reckon it's been like that for most of DM's domestic career. Wouldn't surprise me if it carried on that way Internationally too.
I think it's been raised already, but at 26 he still has an awful lot to give .

| Glad I managed to make your signature, although I don't think I'll be needing to backtrack on it no matter how good Peacock looks against mediocre domestic opposition in 2010.

And at international level - which was the topic under discussion - he is.

| The vicarious delight being shown at a Leeds players performance by the plastic scousers, merely indicates just how much our triple winning GF performances have hurt them.
Past glories and what iffs don't make a blind bit of difference to the fact that DM was absolute mince on Saturday. If he's to continue playing as an International, then it'll be down to the player to produce the kind of form that warrants an International jersey.
Nowt different fom any player.

Really?
So it's absolutely nothing like the comments Leeds fans have passed over recent years about the performances of Leon Pryce and Paul Wellens at international level then?
Sometimes the holier than thou attitude of the s on here can be so bad it's laughable.

Think I summed it up better on the Eastwood thread

Consecutive club coaches running him into the ground for 30 weeks a year has taken all the zip out of his legs and leaves him running like he's wearing concrete shoes.
Club coaches, all the zip, concrete shoes. Seems pretty categorical to me. Shot you said.

Your inability to place a comment in the context of which it was made isn't my problem, but feel free to carry on struggling to do so in public rather than private if you wish.

Leon Pryce is the most exasperating man in the world, except maybe for Chris Feather. He has all the attributes to be a world beater. he's too big, too fast and too strong for any defence in the world to handle when he's on song. But that's just it. He's either on song, or down with laryngitis, there is no middle ground.
It's so frustrating to see an on form Leon Pryce disappear in the pressure cooker.
As for Feather he should be a monster, but he has no ticker. So he's not.

Andy there was no attempt to put anything in context. You said Jamie Peacock is shot. That he has no zip and has boots of concrete. Let's not try to pretend that you meant that he only has no zip and concrete shoes in International games. Now he is either shot or he isn't.
Which is it?
