The Rugby pitch is probably more sand than soil, i presonally dont think it'll do an harm to the pitch. Having a 3tonne (atleast) tractor parked there for a full day would do more harm and it will be a week til we have a game on there (if the game is finished tomorrow as expected)

I agree, not that clued up on county cricket but I don't know of any younger players able to cope against aus in the future.

It is a mental thing England have against Australia. I'm tired of the press hype too going on about the last ashes victory in 2005. Sky's lunch slot is often looking back at that series. People seem to forget the same Eng team was put on their ass less than a year later losing 5-0 against the same Aus team!

The cricket was so bad on Friday that even the WT was quiet. I was sat at the back (seat 83, Row ZE) and it was like being in a morgue...

We weren't much better on the first day against SA last year. Still I've had fun both times and plenty more to come yet.
