I will give you a true example of a SouthStand incident at the last match of last season (play-off).

Reduced capacity remember here, not everyone allowed to Stand in their usual place.

I managed to find the rest of our little group, and found a place on the terrace, one row behind them with my son Bart.

Before kick-off, our group moved left & right, in order that "bart" could stand on the same level as them. Then some idiot (lets call him Ned) said, you can not stand their, that's my spot and moved into the space.

So yes their are some s on the southstand - True Story.

It seems that the Chavs have moved into the North Stand this year, given the number of high-vis jackets that seemed to be in there towards the end.

Was on the Carnegie Terrace last night – it was like being on the set Dawn of the Dead, I’ve seen more life in a tramps vest.

Every time we scored and the lads were returning to take their positions we started to clap (as usual) only to find that we were clapping on our own – honestly it was like no-one was bothered.

Can’t wait to get back on the WT – the old east stand is like a morgue these days.

apart from anything else .
i hope they get on with the NEW southstand [all standing i hope]as soon as possible because thos empty corners look awful .
not a good image for our club and it gives the fans of lesser clubs who play on much worse grounds than ours a reason to slag off headingley with names like shedingley.

Regarding the southstand re-development

Imo the decision has already been made by caddick and gh, and that it will be re-developed on the same style as the carnegie stand, albeit with far more standing capacity than the carnegie stand

Whatever us common fans think will be irelevant as to how the new SS will be re-developed imo, because corporate fans bring far more money to the club on a matchday

The new SS will definately be built with a seating/standing area but also with corporate facililities as well, ala carnegie stand

Far too over crowded in the Southstand yesterday IMO. I think come the summer I’ll encourage my mates to come on the Western Terrace despite having a SS season ticket. I saw more of a no smoking sign than rugby yesterday.
