No honestly, I never did and you can't prove it either, not by using my real name anyway.'"
Me neither. Oh, no.
But er... a friend told me that it had the most magnificent art deco interior.

In the early 70's it was as i said, as you say it changed to 93, 96 and number 4 for Ireland Wood you must just be a young en.

And also the Harold's. The bit where they stormed the Mosque was filmed in my street (at the time, I've moved since), namely Harold Mount. They built a fake mosque at the end of my street. We all had to sign releases to allow the filming.
And if we are doing bus nostalgia, I'd like to put forward the No.75. Great little service, coming out of town via Westgate, then turning off Burley Road onto Westfield Road where Stoggy's used to be, then up Hyde Park Road, turning into Brudenell Road, then onto Cardigan Road. Now, someone will need to help. Did it then go behinad the Co-op and up towards HQ, or did it go up Burley Road all the way up Kirkatall Lane?

Yup, and the shop at the far end is where the fragrant Rebekah serviced my needs one Saturday...
..and sold me a house.

God i miss this pub Great staff, decent beer and not a stuck up pretentious git in sight!! Problem was i think it looked cramped as you walked in, but it then opened up to the raised seating area and stretched over to the bent fruit machine in the corner.
Isnt it called Northern Monkey or something fashionable like that now??
No smoking bar??? PAH!!! it'll never catch on

I think it was called Oxygen when the disallowing of smoking was still a novelty.
In its Guildford guise (alliteration, good eh?) it was a lovely pub.
Like Tetley's pubs often were.

| If we're talking 'classic' bus routes, the 61 takes some beating! Rather than a destination on the front it should have just said 'everywhere s***'! One of those tiny magic riders (the driver often used the extended stop Jimmy's as a convenient fag break).
I thought it was a shame when Lawnswood was knocked down, quite an impressive set of buildings (I remember our shiny new sport's hall after the fire).

| Good spot - McLaren can be seen quite clearly.
But I'm strictly Eastern Terrace - man and boy.

Me too - it had that fold down seating and 'wined down' basket ball hoops and no fekking piano.

When that photo first appeared I had a comment published on it
They had the player in the background listed as "Hynes" so I put on my best geek hat and wrote them a "Dear Sir" email to tell them in an offended but superior voice that it was Bernard Watson as any fool should know with those sideburns.
Now I'm not so sure.
And yes, I will have been at that match - selling programmes int he first half but I will have seen the second half, ask me a question on any second half from that era and I'm you're man, never saw a first half though.

Towards the back of the stand ?
There was one at both ends, it was a turnstile for when they charged to go into the southstand from either terrace. 3d I think it was.
