| If it is the case I hope we have a clause in the deal that says we get first refusal should he decide to come back to SL. Or does that only apply if he was contracted to us and we receive a fee? Like others have said it might be a bit soon for him to try his luck out there something Arthur referred to when it first came about.

| Suspect the Lumb news was put out yesterday because they knew this was coming. Poor all round, Gannon has shown no loyalty, the club have been very slow off the mark and they are now trying to put up a smokescreen which is not fair on Lumb.
Should all have been handled better by everyone.

| Sad if true. Leeds have stuck with him the last year with his injury issues.

| Disappointing news if true. Through the whole Of 2023 and 2024 he started 6 games and played 4 of the bench due to concussion issues.
Going to the much harder NRL when he has not yet been able to get through a single SL season seems a strange move to me.
I can?t think of an English player being a success at NZ warriors since Dennis Betts and Andy Platt. Even Sam Tomkins failed.
Seems like a bit of a kick in the teeth for the club and is now becoming a bad habit following Walters and Martin.
I reckon he will be back in SL in 2 years.

| Feel let down by Gannon, club stuck by him with his long long lay off. Poor from the player imo and he?s going to NRL far too early. Yet more top young talent we can?t keep hold of though

Nail on the head. I always thought he would head to the NRL one day, but I think a logical and honourable compromise would have been a two year contract at Leeds. That would have given the club some reward for the time and patience they have shown him. Totally understand that it's a professional sport and players need to maximise their earnings and aspire to play in the elite competition, but as others have said I think he's gone too early and to the wrong club.

| Maybe better he leaves now than in a couple of years, when he's actually become that player many think he's capable of becoming (I confess I've not really seen enough to be 100% convinced on that front). Less of a loss, if you like?
