He threw one bad pass, but that's emblematic of his entire time at Leeds. His passing is poor, his erratic play leads to many errors and he isn't defensively tough (even got flattened by Mulhern tonight). I'll give him credit that he tries hard, but that isn't enough in a professional sport.

| Quote: Sir Gregory ParsloeP "Some similarities to the middle 40 minutes v Salford but tonight we were even worse. Barely finished a set in the second half.
Less than 3 minutes to go and we can’t even set up for a drop goal.
Real lack of leadership in that 2nd half.
But can’t fault the effort and spirit to get the win.'"
Thought the halves were pretty good in the first half, but that changed when O’Connor went off and Dywer came on. He just can't resist trying to do it all by himself. Tremendous effort to hang on and get the win though.

Oconner has been outstanding at 9 to say it’s not his natural position.
Tetevano was great tonight, maybe just maybe Smith is having an influence on him, he is a good player and he’s not going anywhere so if Smith can get the best out of him he could maybe be an asset next year

I agree the halves were better in the first half but didn’t get a grip in the second. Penalties given away, handling errors, forward passes were non-stop.
Someone should have been laying the law down to stress the need to finish sets.
I thought Wire showed plenty of effort for Powell tonight and 24-6 at half time flattered us a bit.
Matt prior is worrying be more than Dwyer at the moment.
Given the pressure we faced, a lot of it self inflicted, we showed a lot of faith in keeping our defensive line straight and great spirit.

Agree, we’re showing all the signs of a playoff team at the moment, games won’t always be perfect and go your way but if you can still win those that’s huge. Credit to wire second half they played well. They’ve some good players. We deserved the win though overall we were better team. Tetevano and Martin were really good as were our halves. We were a bit flat defensively at times but on our goal line we were great.
Onwards and upwards.
Also what’s up with Fusitua?

That's exactly it with Dwyer.
Every play is last resort, desperation stuff.
When it comes off it looks great.
But more often than not, we need control from DH and he simply doesn't bring that.
He's perfect for a team who are usually behind in games and desperate for points.
Like Hull or Wire for example.....

Share your concern about Prior. I don’t think he’s out of form, he just looks like he's already played for a year too long.

| Not his fault but Prior should never have been given two years - should have been one year at a time. He'll be 36 early next season, and while you can't predict exactly when age catches up with players it does everyone eventually and the drop-off can be pretty quick.

| Thought the ref kept Wire in the game second half missing a few forward passes and giving them the 50/50`s.
Let`s hope Prior does the honourable thing and decides he`s stealing a living.
Dumb I know if he does especially with a young family.
Do we think Austin or Bentley might cop a ban?

I think I know what you are trying to say about Prior, but I hate the phrase "steal a living". These are Rugby League players after all. Physical suffering on a weekly basis is a given. They earn their money, which is a pittance in the wider world of professional sport.

It`s a saying often used to describe someone who isn`t performing and in his case on a pretty decent salary.
Probably a bit harsh to say he`s stealing a living but not really sure what else to articulate it.
Maybe past his sell by date?
But we cannot afford to carry players unfortunately and if he does do the honourable thing then good luck to him.
His last 2 seasons have been below his standards for sure.
