Was it the offside from McGuires kick early in the second half?, very unlucky if it was

That was a play the ball given, as set completed.
In answer to tvoc, I thought at the game Cas got three penalties and us two last night, so was surprised when saw four this morning to Cas. Reckon they have made up the Singleton one for the incident stated above.

| YEP also had the penalty count as 3-2 to Castleford. God knows where Opta pluck some of their figures from.

I believe this was accidental offside, which is usually a scrum but it was the last tackle so given as a handover. Right decision I thought?
"RFL Rules 14: Offside
Accidental off side Where the Referee is satisfied that interference with play by an off side player is accidental he should order a scrum."

| There have been a few post game shots at Delaney this year.
This baffles me.
If I wanted to design a hard working, straight running, second row machine for my ideal team to drain the opposition with every contact he was involved in; Brett Delaney would be my template.

Fletcher: Course, he sees 'imself as an authority on curry, he does, on account of where he was stationed in the army.
Rudge: Where? India?

| Delaney has occasionally looked a little off the pace for me this season.

Delaney can "look" as knackered as he likes if he keeps playing the way he is playing, which is fine by me.

Obsessed I see in the poster rather than the posts. Just gets a bit boring.
Quite frankly any player that plays in Leeds colours and not one of the two or three you have an agenda against, can play anyway they like. You don't have the ability to read what is in front of you.

| A bit late but I have been busy - another excellent game, Powell has done a superb job with Cas they look a well organised inventive team that will definitely make the play offs.
In Clark they have one of the most exciting players in SL and he compliments a tough rugged pack. The short turnaround worked in Leeds' favour as Cas appeared to tire in the last 20.
On Leeds - solid display and a great example of how to control a game and strangle the life out of the opposition. Our three quarters are the best in the league and they - along with Peacock and Kylie were the difference on the night.
Amazing how much our discipline has improved since JJB left the scene, although Ablett worries me he appears to be morphing in to JJB in this respect.
To keep Cas scoreless in the second half was a big plus - shame we conceded to very soft tries.
On the whole a great team effort in what was a very competitive game

| Thanks for the replies re the apparent Singleton penalty from Tony, Gotcha and Craig. Always important to question and then highlight the rather obvious mistakes when they occur.
Penalty count of 3-2 to Castleford it is then.

So was the Singleton one classed as a penalty or not?

Doubt it as the result was a handover.

Two or three times a game he will take the ball up and look to angle across the defensive line, looking for a team-mate to hit a line off him. I can remember only once when someone has put their hands up, and that was Clarkson in one of the games at home to Wakefield last year. It led to a try.
There is, potentially, more to his game than just a carthorse. Would be nice if some of his team-mates figured that out occasionally.
