| I Believe jake Arthur?s contract ends at end of this year at manly and BA has previously said in interviews that they are coming over to uk at end of NRL season surely it?s a possibility that Jake signs for us as a replacement for frawley

| Interesting point, what if only one of BA's kids were in the NRL, and the other in SL. Then what would he do?

Easy. Go where his favourite is. Everyone has one, don't they.

Any quota spots need to be filled with the best players we can get in the positions most in need of strengthening. Frawley isn't even a starting half back, and for my money we should be trying to develop Connor and Croft as a partnership with Sinfield in the wings. Even if we were confident that Jake or Matt Arthur were players with the ability to provide the finishing touches to the squad it would still be a risk. What would the other players make of it, if they were dropped for the bosses son? BA might end up losing the dressing room very quickly in such a scenario.

| I don't mind Croft. We need an organising 7 that can kick us around the park.
I'd happily lose Bentley if have Watkins,Gannon , McDonnell with Palasia and the other aussie able to play there too *if* we can sign the type of prop we have needed since Kylie retired.
Connor can cover most of the backs, Sivo should make an impact next year. Biggest worry is 7 and 9 atm for me.

Isn't Connor, who has been the most creative player on the park for us this season, exactly that 7. He's completely wasted in any other position. Totally agree about the 9 though.

| Interesting to see who we go for . This failed move for Jock Madden , the Brisbane halfback , indicates the club wants more cover than Croft, Connor and Sinfield next season.
Only 1 year for McDonnell is a bit odd but glad he is staying, he?s been good this year

| 1 year for McDonnell is interesting, I'd have been happy to see him sign for 2 years, but not a problem. Will be interesting to see what Bentley and the club do. I'd be offering Holroyd 2 years and Gannon 3 years.
In terms of a replacement for Frawley (who must be leaving) if we didn't sign anyone, our 4th choice halfback would probably be either Cam Smith (who I don't think is much of a field kicker, and lacks pace) or Fergus McCormack (who is completely untested at this level). That's a risk and why I think the might go for someone else. Perhaps the club also now see Jack as a future 9 rather than 7 in which case you can expect another decent quality half to be signed.
