| embarrassing, a performance typical of McDermotts early years where we turn up expecting to win and end up getting rolled over by an average side

| Poor tonight and deserve to lose but by god the referees are really ruining our wonderful game.
Incorrect disallowed try when McGuire went over for me, player still managed to be involved in the tackle. Incorrect decision for Huddersfield try when Mamo got his hand to the ball and pushed the ball over when player held up.
Plenty of holding down for Huddersfield got away with.
Disappointing night by us though. Did nothing to get back into it when we went behind in the second half.

| Not sure there're any positives from that. The Galloway and Garbutt were good, Delaney was alright. The rest were average to shocking. Huddersfield out enthused us, but they were shocking as well. Terrible game.

| No direction in attack on the opponent's line, running back into where the last tackle was made and getting wrapped up. Two passes to one wing and someone cuts back into the thick of it in the middle, it's the same clueless attack we seem to play under McDermott. When are we going to recruit someone with a rugby brain and kicking game?
Rant over.

| Btw, does anyone still think Joel Moon is a halfback? He can be a devastating runner and terrific individual, but a halfback?

On this forum after a loss? Unlikely.
Garbage performance tonight but every team produces some throughout a season.

| This was down to the players who were all well below par. Poor handling and predicable to defend greedy one man rugby meant we never really had threatened to score. We never made the ball work or tried to create space and did not play as we have been playing. The only players who deserve any credit were JJB who never stopped trying, Garbutt who made big meters but still made errors, Parcell who tried but not his best game and young Walker who looks to have some class. Cuthbertson had perhaps his worst game, Ward was no better and Singleton looks to run out of energy. They and the rest owe the supporters and the coach an apology.

He never was a long term option. But he is currently out best option, which is the reason.

What about judging him over a period instead of cherry picking a single game where the whole team had a sloppy attitude. Not even established HB's would've had much hope playing in that lineup tonight.
