| Quote: Loiner at large "There needs to be some understanding of what players are realistically going to be available from the NRL in terms of potential incoming forwards to Leeds. Along with half backs props command the biggest salaries in the NRL. As such the ones available will be one of the following. Top quality 33-35 years old looking for one last challenge or pay day Eg Burgess and JWH.
Young not played much in NRL looking to build career and get an NRL contract. Eg Tom Amone.
Late 20 early 30s not a first choice starter but played decent number of games looking for 3 year contract and more game time.
Leeds should be in for either of the second 2 and its then its about selecting the right players with the attributes that you need.'"
If we're in for Jake Connor, maybe players in the mould of Julian O'Neill, Greg Bird and Todd Carney will be on the cards

| Not that it was ever happening, but RCG has signed for Gold Coast.

| They will have to do a lot better than Jake Connor and an obscure NRL forward that's barely played for last 2 years if they want to sell season tickets.
Hopefully hear something major soon.

| I've enjoyed the non event that has been following the ongoing RCG (Unicorn) transfer updates, but all good things must come to an end.

| Kudos to the Lotpod guys for getting Ian Blease and Rob Oates to appear this coming Monday. Here's hoping they might have something to reveal.

He’s not even been linked with us properly so you don’t need to write him off just yet, maybe wait til he’s actually signed but not pulled on a jersey before doing that.

| Maiko Siva is being offered to SL clubs with Para prepared to pay some of his wage. Would not be at all surprised if Arthur wanted him at HQ, especially if Mom departs.

| I`d be happy with him but where does that leave Handley/Hall assuming Connor/Newman are our centres?
Unless Connor plays in the halves and Frawley leaves.

| I could see us signing Byrne or Eseh on a 12 month contract and bring in a no nonsense overseas prop and a barnstorming second rower also from the NRL.
Is Bousquet leaving Catalans or has he retired?

There was some talk earlier in the year about moving Ash to centre. I think (I'm probably wrong) that Arthur wants to stack the 3/4s with big strong ball carriers. Siva, one of his old boys, would fit the bill. I think Connor is there to provide strength in depth in the spine as well as centre.

You may well be right Hall and Sivo would give some real ball carrying strength to help the pack, ash and Harry in the centres , Jake the Snake putting pressure on everyone. Connor has a lot of skill but whether anyone can get him focused again , god knows.
I don’t know where Sivo’s game is these days but he would be a fan favourite if gets his form together
