| I`m happy with the signing too.
On his day he is a very talented player.
And I don`t mind him winding up the opposition.
He just needs to remember it`s a team game and bollocking his fellow players can be saved for the dressing room.
Mind you many on here pointed to how the likes of JP and other seasoned players in the past would have a go at fellow team mates if they messed up.

| It;s only a 2 year contract and i believe he's taken a wage cut... to me it's not much of a gamble but time will tell. I've always rated him personally and it's a typical Blease signing which usually prove successful. I'm fully behind him and fingers crossed the lad performs and fits in well.

Yeah this is often overlooked, the players in that golden generation often gave each other a rollocking, I suppose it's like Brad Arthur says about making players accountable.
The problem when Conner has been doing it it's often been when he's messed up, which is where the issue is.

| Quote: christopher "One thing that Jake does bring is a creative kicking game which isn't just stick the ball up in the air on the 5th, we've missed that, Austin brought a bit of that to us in his time here and I think we've missed that.'"
I would have thought the one person whose regular first team place is under direct threat as a result of this is the much ( and often unfairly) maligned Frawley. As you say, Connor's field kicking has far more variety and in general he's a much more creative player. So unless we do intend to play him as a centre, and I don't think we will, Connor will be competing for a place in the spine. His goal kicking gives him an edge. Will be fascinated to see what transpires.

That could very well the case, but I don’t think he'd be an upgrade. He's not bigger, not faster, not noticeably stronger. Just think that if Mom leaves Arthur will want a player that can make a real difference in the 3/4s. The type of player Fusitua should have been but never was. I guess there's an argument for using a quota spot on a 2nd rower, but my gut feeling is that he'll plump for another back who can really get the sets moving downfield.

| Sivo would be a good shout especially with Paramatta paying some of his wage.
Personally I prefer Handley on the wing as opposed to him playing centre as his defence isn`t that good.

| I'd say Connor would be an upgrade on mom, I'd argue while not faster he's quicker, while not 'bigger' he's more competitive and far more creative. I think he will be used at centre with utility value and I hope he thrives at the club under Arthur

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"
Alex Murphy 2011: |
|
| After watching that dross last season I’m happy to see someone with a bit of attacking flair come to the club. We had the worst kicking game in Superleague last season and he should go a long way to addressing that. He’s a character as well which I’ve always liked. Ryan Bailey was one of my favourite players back in the day for that reason alone.

| It looks like Momirovski is on the way out anyway. In fairness to the player, he arrived at the end of the pre-season after recovering from an injury, and despite some glimpses I don't think we got to see the best he had to offer. In some ways he reminded me of Kallum Watkins in his last season at Leeds when he was struggling to cope with his loss of pace after a run of bad injuries. If Mom is really considering a move into coaching, perhaps he's also questioning whether his body is up to the demands of RL? If it was just a case of being out of form and not wanted by Leeds, you'd think he might back himself at another SL club (Cas?) or go back to one of the NRL reserve comps?

| After years of disappointment, could Connor under Arthur possibly be our best signing for a while? Our 3/4s have looked so predictable every week. Even Newman has been predictable. A good off season with the 2 new fowards, Hall and possibly one more back looks good

This would be a right result for Leeds. He’s been the most disappointing signing in years for me.

| I watched a highlights video of Connor the other day which made me a little concerned about his signing. He is a very off the cuff sort of player who throws speculator passes and kicks. When they come off they are great but likewise when they do not come off it is not ideal. Not sure he is the sort of player we want, albeit hopefully he offers a lot more than what I have seen.
I suspect his running style possibly sets him apart from Momo. He has a step on him and can draw players in and then offload. Centre may be the best place for him to limit his passes and kicks. Hope he doesn't throw too many passes in to touch though.

| I can't see BA putting up with some of Connor's former behaviour (on or off the pitch). He will either fall in line with the plan, or find himself not playing.
