"The Golden Generation finally has its Golden Fleece! They have Wembley Cup Final winners medals to add to their collection."

Tbh if he'd have said it in a Wakey vs Saints/Wire/Hudds game I still would've found it as cringe worthy. It wasn't so much he asked the question "was that a knock on?"....but he pleaded and begged for a VR decision. Somehow if it was Matty Smith running under the posts I think he'd have reacted quite differently.
In the end it doesn't stop the decision being any different, I knew as soon as McGuire set off that it was going upstairs if he reached the line (was actually hoping he'd get tackled to avoid that happening) but it was quite pathetic commentary from a paid "professional"

| Carney's the only Sky pundit worth listening to IMO. McDermott gets on my nerves too if I'm honest.

| God that was embarrassing....
Danny McGuire I seem to remember was denied a similar try last season - where he got the better of Tomkins as last defender - because of the video ref.
Again he would have been better taking a tackle, allowing a score off the next play - without the option of then going to video ref. Stupid !

Got to agree the try would have been awarded if Kevin Sinfield had been reffing.

Not so sure about that squire, Hemmings is quite imformative nobody would have known you had 9 players' out if he had not mentioned it a couple of times.

| Mick Morgan thinks that Phil Clarke is too biased to be a proper commentator.

| As a wakey fan i was suprised by Clarkes comments. But at the same time Eddy kept banging the drum about how many first team players Leeds had on the sidelines, whilst failing to mention the first teamers we had missing (Kirmond, Collis, Ali Lau, Walshaw, Anderson, Sammut).
The disallowed Leeds try could have gone either way, but Hall touches the ball IMO. But then the disallowed Wakey try could have also gone either way aswell, must have been only a blade of grass in it. I thought there was a faint green line in between his foot and the whitewash. But you get some, you lose some.
Swings and roundabouts, rose tinted glasses and all that

| Clarke is and always has been a bell #nd so nothing he spouts surprises me anymore.
The biggest focus should be on how poor we were again.

Couldn't agree more. Wakey played better than us and deserved to win. I only had an issue with Clarke begging for the McGuire "try" to be disallowed because in the first half we was so vehemently demanding that Wakey's disallowed try should be allowed.

| Clarke is a bias idiot. His performance for the Wigan saints game last week was astonishingly bad, you'd think Saints had lost by 30 points rather than dominated the game after losing their main playmaker early.

We’re only interested in those in the bubble. Anyone who wants to come in the bubble, you can come in.
But you’ve got to keep believing.:86.jpg |

| Clarke, like many Wiganers, suffers from Leeds Rhinos Derangement syndrome. It dates back to the first 2010 playoff game and was compounded by the 2012 cup and play off semis. Since those events they have been completely unhinged, further fired by the contempt offered by Leeds (and other clubs') fans regarding the thuggery of Wigan teams in recent years.

| Let's face it, if Sky didn't really give a monkeys what everyone made of the "rugby gods" comments, they're not going to be bothered by his performance on Friday.
Personally, I'd bin the lot with the exception of Wells. Stevo and Eddie are sounding like a stuck record, the two big daft lads can't string a sentence together, Carney looks uncomfortable trying to read an autocue and Clarke has become a sad joke.
