With a big fixture block in front of us he could/should be needed, Bails was 18th man against Saints, so you'd think we'd be looking to use him rather than someone else.'"
True mate.
Would be a very silly move if that was the case unless of course he is going down the same route as the likes of Griffin.
We do have other options such as Minchella and England but might need Bailey`s experience over the next few weeks.

| Unless Agent Bailey is off to sabotage Cas .... What would be a silly move is to allow him to play against us. Don't we usually insert a clause in to the loan deal to stop that sort of thing ?

| Cas have signed Lee Jowitt from some French team to bolster their pack.

It doesn't make much sense continually committing disciplinary offences in your testimonial year either. But things happen.
Doubt he will be leaving before seasons end.

| As predicted on page 1, put that rumour to bed. Has bailey had a falling out with Mac or just not good enough for the 17?

I agree with you BB. For this tough next of fixtures experience is essential. Knowing when to retrict possession and keep a lid on it or when bring it on and let it flow - its all about timing. So important the players keep hydrated. After all it is an 18 man game these days.
Bet your hoping it is all speculation though.....all those decisions....do I buy the new replica shirts for master BB and self in the colours of Hunslet, or those of Cas or will it be the Bulls? Then you would have to change your avatar. It's all too much to contemplate.
Seriously though we will need the big match experience of RB over the next several weeks where our defence will be fully tested especially as our long term injury list is beginning to grow.

I suppose I have quite commercial heroes.
Yours are more subtle and niche shall we say. Ben Cross falls nicely into that bracket. But we'll swiftly move on from him.
It'd be nice to be discussing Bails' on the field action rather than supposed off the field behaviour. Faultless kicking tee duties Saturday aft though.

I think it's a bit of both.
I doubt he's had a "falling out" with Mac but he's done some stupid things leading to some disciplinary action and, in my opinion, he's not adding much on the field either at the moment. Right now I'd play plenty of other squad members ahead of Bailey.

| What 'off-field behaviour' and 'fallings out'? I feel shamefully off-the-pulse about such things...

| He doesn't seem to me to be fully fit.
Against Salford he was constantly (or so it seemed) having treatment on the field for cramp or other leg muscle problems & he was of course then not selected against Saints.
He is of course in tonight's 18.

| I thought he was decent tonight, won every collusion, and was generally solid.

| Bailey with a point to prove can be an important player. Look how he plays when he's in the last year of his contract. Always seems to be step up.

| I agree with the above plus I thought he showed commendable restraint when Mcllorum appeared to "accidentally" step hard down on his ankle after he was again in third man low down in the tackle.
