Agreed, although I may be getting old because the south stand in general seems to have more Chavs than I remember. And I quite like sitting down at games nowadays!!!!!

I've stood where I stand in the South Stand now for 15 years and its not as bad as it has been but most of the numpties stand around the band so easy to single them out

Stopped going in the southstand when my wife started coming to games she is only 4ft 11 and didn't see much. My prefered standing was the old east terrace at the side of the portacabins. Lots of good memories standing there with my dad and my now departed grandad. I know it was rubbish but I have alot of good memories from there

So disappointed in this thread, having clicked the title I now find that its about a lone trumpeteer and accompanying drummer with a limited set list rather than rlthe most excellent group of musicians to have come out of the 1960srl

Keeps em in one area I suppose. Before I moved into the Carnegie terrace with the mrs I used to stand at the back to the right of where loz stands, wasn't too bad there tbh, just a stream of folk heading over towards the middle, lunchbox kid etc

You cant blame the band for others acting like t!t$ or for the increase in chavs in the SS.

TBF, the idiots would be in there anyway. It just bunches them up instead of them being evenly spread out across the Southstand.

As for the band, IMHO the kill the atmosphere rather than make it better. The amount of times pockets of Leeds fans start a chant going and the band start up their own tune. It just drowns out everything else and gets boring and repetitive. They have had their time now. It's hard to get any kind of noise started in the stadium when they are repeating the same 6 notes of 7 nation army for 15 minutes straight with no one joining in.
