| I've been a big fan and supporter of Buderus, but last night he was poor. He handed Wigan easy metres on at least 3 occasions through dumb penalties and then was lazy in not trying to get back onside at the end when the try was rightly disallowed.
We have had two must win big games this season and he has been poor in both of them. Diskin looked much more dangerous when he came on and frankly if you don't see that, it's you with the agenda not others on here.

| Buderus was disappointing last night, it's true, but Diskin was shocking.
Flat-footed in defence again to give Wigan position for a try, not alert (along with Webb) for the third try, and terrible at the two aspects of the game that Buderus is absolutely reliable at: the kick-chase (most notably when Tomkins made his easy 40 yards at the beginning of the second-half) and play-the-ball distribution (very importantly when 6-2 up on the Wigan line an awful pass forced Sinfield into a rushed kick and ended with Wigan 90 yards downfield and Leeds' momentum gone at a vital time.)
Kick-chase and play-the-ball seem like little things but they're not, and I'm sorry to say Diskin hurt us last night.

| First of all I have no agenda and think Matt Diskin is as good if not better than most no 9s in the game and will hopefully continue at Leeds for a long time yet but Buderus does have that extra speed of pass and controls the p/b areas more effectively with his stong tackling, he is quicker at supporting the chase and in open play. I believe the reason we haven't seen more benefit is that our forwards do not come on to the ball and follow him stong enough. Still believe he as another good season in him, but we need to coach the forwards to follow him at the rucks, mind you we need some coaching in other areas!.

Spot on Tad.
Buderus's 2 penalties in quick succession was inexcusable, and Diskins air shot at one of the tries, when all he had to do was drop on the ball, should have flagged up to GH that there is a vacancy for the hooker position at Leeds
Both did some good work on the quiet, but for me, both have failed to step up when it was needed.

No agenda.
Agree Buderus did not have his best game....but as an interchange hooker what does Diskin ever bring to the game but inferiority in all areas of passing, defence, tackling ability and running ?? How you can state Diskin looked more dangerous is beyond me. Sorry if I don't see it. A different qualities Roby coming on for a Cunningham he most definitely aint.
He only ever gives the opposition their chance to gain the ascendency in their go-forward. Sad but true: he has had his best days a long time ago.

| Must be hard being a Hooker at Leeds Rhinos knowing no matter how badly Matt Diskin & Danny Buderus play you won't get a shot in the First Team bar injuries.

| yet again the expensive former Aussie and NSW captain has an appalling game in a big game and yet again there's a thread lambasting Diskin.
Just when IS Buderus going to deliver for us. Four poor penalties and one bombed try. These were Buderus's contribution. What on earth was he doing on his "off-side"?
Disco, whilst not having his best game made at least two positive contributions, a penalty earned with a clever scoot and a ball steal. Please, enlighten me about Buderus's positive contribution last night?
But do we see a thread slating golden boy? No, a thread slating Diksin

Specifically last night, what did Buderus do better than Diskin. I want specific examples, not anecdotal ones. I'd be amazed if you came back with anything. Diskin wasn't perfect, but he was much better than Buderus last night.
Buderus came over here with a massive reputation, and whilst he's been ok even good on occasion, whenever we have needed him to step up and really show his class he has failed to deliver. Massive reputation, massive disappointment in the games that count...

| Buderus cost us the game yesterday. Was greedy and went for the try when we had unmarked players. If we had scored we would have got other tries.

| At 6-20 Buderus had a man unmarked yards from the line and went for glory himself.
That was a key moment.
He marched Wigan upfield in the first half to gift them 2 points.
Ultimately that was the difference between us being 3 scores down rather than 2 scores down just after the break.
He was lucky on our try too. That shouldn't have been given.

| Specifically Buderus defence was better than diskin his passing from dummy half was better than diskins. There you go 2 examples.
I too thought the same as the original poster. No agenda from me. I was at the game and that's what I saw.
