I'd like to see Sinfield start at 6 every week with one of McGuire or Burrow with him, to see the other coming off the bench could mean we would run riot in the last 20 minutes of either half with their (fresh) pace.
Just a thought....
I think having all 3 starting has proved succesfull aswell in the past grand finals spring to mind!!

| Would losing Sinfield from the pack squad strength be too big an ask at the moment?
It worked OK last night and at Murrayfield with a full(ish) compliment of forwards on deck but a couple of injuries could change all that.
I don't much like the idea of a half back on the bench instead of a forward either. It's bad enough having Diskin on there (although not last night) to spell an eighty minute NRL hooker.

Just to be devil's advocate for a minute here, is there an argument that having McGuire, Burrow, Sinfield, Diskin, Buderus and, to an extent, Webb is just too many playmakers to accomodate in a 17 man squad?

Would Sinfield moving to 6 free up a space for Diskin at 13 or the 2nd Row?

At the moment not massivley - depends on how much we want top spot but it would come playoff time.

Yes completey.
Sinfield plays like a stand off anyway even when at 13, so you start the game with 2 stand offs, plus Brent Webb comes into the line when attacking getting the ball at 2nd receiver, meaning 3 stand offs.
Sometimes people wonder why it appears that McGuire runs round like a headless chicken, quite often he gets the scraps when Sinfield etc cant get there.
When we signed Ellis, i assumed it was to play him at 13, Sinfield at 6 and McGuire at 7 - with Burrow to make an impact later on at 7 or 9 - like in the 2004 Grand Final.

The two hooker thing at Leeds I don't see as necessary or working with the two hookers at their disposal this season, depending on Buderus' body holding up. So just what do Leeds do with Diskin?

Let him go to Saints!
Or move him to the 2nd Row or 13, which would allow Sinfield to play 6!

No idea but I don't think he would make much impact as a second row as some have suggested.

i think maggs at first receiver works much better, as imo maggs passing games is miles infront of burrow's.

With Kirke filling in as the missing fifth prop option at Leeds this season there could be an opening (sometime) for Diskin in the second row but like you I'm not convinced he'd take to it. About the equivalent of Simon Worrall in that position.
I wouldn't like to be in the coach's shoes right now trying to find a suitable role for Diskin to play.
