I’ve heard some words and euphemisms I’ve never heard in any professional sport capacity. Thought it would be fun for us to compile a list of JJB’isms.
I’ll start with
‘Idolatry’- (the worship of idols.)
How he got that into the latest post match interview I’ll never know.

We know the JJB family likes video games…..

Maybe needs to look inward on this one.

Sezer didn’t play because we didn’t want him to get ‘upset and angry’.
WTF?

‘We need to stick our heads above the proverbial fox hole’
Do foxes live in holes? Did he mean rabbit hole?

The game is ‘war played out on a dance floor’
That’s actually deep and genius!

As opposed to low level reverence I guess!

He`s becoming a laughing stock just like the team.
JJB thinks he`s something that he`s not.

Come on mate. Can’t you see the genius in some of his words? The prophet? Dare I say it……..’The Messiah!’

I think the club thinks he is too, to quote Alan Partridge, ‘ Sorry, that was just a noise.’ , but with JJB you get some biblical reference too…

I can’t listen to it.

I avoided listening but it wasn't as bad as I'd feared. He uses way too many metaphors but he was quite honest about things not being good enough and needing players to work with each other to sort things out. The other thing he needs to stop doing is referring to himself and his own experiences all the time - I'm quite sure Wayne Bennett never references his life or career when talking to players, and if I were a 20-year old it would be the last thing I'd care about anyway.

But he's a tyro coach in a no-win position. I wish him well as long as he's coach, but he really needs to go and learn his trade somewhere else if he wants to be a coach.

Maybe he can use John Wilkins advice after a Leeming tackle “ they should focus on reviewing the unseen efforts in training” I wasn’t sure if he was using the Leeming chase and tackle as an example because I had seen that.

The word is "utmost".

Phil Daly should be drawing a veil over these press conferences somehow. They're just damaging JJB's reputation.

What was previously funny or mildly thought-provoking in his guise as an analyst or corporate entertainer comes across as moronic or insubstantial when said from the mouth of a Super League Head Coach.

I can't watch them without cringing every 15 seconds or so.
