| So here we are again, the season starts. Hopefully we can have a good one coming up.
Firstly, lost Blake Austin to a one match ban for his tackle, personally hope the club appeals as it should of been looked at last week.
Muizz Mustapha, Tom Holroyd, Sam Walters out with injuries and likely that Harry Newman will be missing.
Walker
Fusitua Briscoe Sutcliffe Handley
Myler Sezer
Oledzki Leeming Prior
Martin Bentley
Smith
Dwyer Tetevano Thompson Mellor / Donaldson / O’Connor / Gannon
Broadbent

| It looked an absolute nothing challenge to me and I felt even the yellow was harsh but guess if they want to afford players better protection then a yellow is understanding. Why did the referee not issue a red card if he saw the offence and gave a yellow?
Its a shame when we have Channel 4 trying to showcase the game on terrestrial tv for the first time and then we have the RFL trying to ruin what should be a very good game by being pedantic for a challenge that really does not warrant a ban.

| Honestly, if that Austin push is a ban we may as well become a non contract sport. Yellow was very very harsh it was a penalty at worse. Club should appeal big time. The games rapidly becoming lost to me with decisions like that.

| Regardless of wether its a ban or not (it was a nothing incident and yellow should have been sufficient)
The club should be appealing because of the timing, it’s been looked at a week later than normal and we should be saying the ban should have been served at the weekend because we had a game.
Cheeky, maybe but the RFL should be more professional and do the disciplinary at the correct time.

| Is there any reason why it wasn’t decided last week then the ban would have been served in the hunslet game or is it just the usual Micky mouse RFL. Wasn’t a ban anyway. If that is a ban expect a lot of players missing games this year

| Not sure Walker will be risked for Full 80 yet. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Leeming or Sutty in the halves…..

| If the club don’t appeal it or it’s unsuccessful id be tempted to out Sutty at 6 and Broadbent at centre
I think Walker maybe still needs s bit if time ti settle back in

| id rather Myler at 6 and Broadbent FB, Sutcliffe is the worst of all options there he kills everything by stepping back inside with the ball. Hoping we see Walker if not.
...Having said that id also rather see Broadbent at 6

| If Walker isnt deemed full go id plump for Broadbent at 1 and Myler at 6. Myler isnt a half for me but can fill in for one game.
Sutcliffe should never play there again.

| Appealing against the ban due to the timing of the MRP would be amongst the most stupid things ever. It's not good but you would have zero legs to stand on and they'd probably, rightly, increase the ban for wasting their time.

Why?
The fact is if the RFL had have looked at it when they should have, Austins ban would have been served on Sunday.
Id be appealing anyway on the grounds that it wasn’t even a late tackle.

| Its 1 game. Cop the ban and move on. Can we start to learn that if you touch a player after the ball has gone you risk copping a ban as ridiculous, pathetic and trivial as it may be. We of all teams should realise that given how many bans we suffered last yr.

| Good luck on that one. The ball was in Litten's hands at the time contact was made.
Appeal about the hearing date by all means but I don't foresee it being overturned at a point of the season when determination to send out a message will be at its highest.

| It depends on what the clubs have been told in the build up to the season. If there's been a directive that any late hit will be punished, then fair enough. It was late. Might not have been huge but the ball was well gone.
I think the club should accept but argue Sunday's game should have been the banned match
