Ha don't get me started on this. The handling of Tet was nothing short of a disgrace.
Been far worse things done since...... 'most given 1-2 matches. How a' slightly mistimed tackle, can be twice as bad as head butting someone is beyond me.....!

God we arent still going on about Tetevano's ban surely? The club accepted the ban without appealing.

Not particularly linking it to the Tetevano ban but it does seem a very hard to explain judgement. Much as I dislike Joel Tomkins he will potentially get a ban double the size of hardakers for an instinctive reaction to an unprovoked headbutt on his brother!
Not sure the ban would be the same if the incident happened the other way round.
I know that there are supposed to be scales for things but the circumstances and running order of incidents should be considered. JP would have got a huge ban nowadays for his reaction to Willie Mason knocking Fielden out!

Absolutely outrageous. The game is a joke. 2 match ban for a deliberate head butt!!! Wow. Though Leeds didn’t appeal Tetevanos ban Agar publicly criticised the length of the ban. He must he seething. The game over here is so tin pot amateur at times it’s laughable

I like Hardaker, met him numerous times through a mutual friend, and he’s been a top lad. Question is, how the hell did he only get 2 games for violent conduct?

Yeah it probably is, but I think we are taking issue that Tet got 4 matches for far less, with no malicious intent....!

I think the issue is someone who initiates it by headbutting likely gets half the ban of someone punching as retaliation. If someone headbutted me, I think I would punch them back.

Surely a headbutt is worse than a punch too.

I didn't like the way Hardaker had his arm between the Catalan players legs either. Hardaker should have got a 5 match ban for me.

Yeah, anyone with any sense could see Hardaker has just lost it. He's giving Tomkins a good, sustained grope. Then he headbutts him. With his previous how he's not sat on a 6 or 7 week ban is beyond me. The Wigan fans claim it was nothing, and the contact from the headbutt wasn't spectacular, but it's the complete opposite of how players should be behaving. They'd rather completely ignore it than look at the fact that he's a liability.

I don't think what Hardaker did was worse. A a late shoulder with some contact to the head is probably more likely to cause injury than what ZH did.

Just seen this, definitely leading in with the head but not a real head butt, 2 matches seems fair. J Tomkins should get 4-6 for running in and punching, scroat bag player like his brother
