| Hi guys, 2 points here.
How did Donaldson play in the Boxing Day win, what did he play like and how did Furner use him?
And how do you feel about his signing in general?
Most Rovers fans felt the same about Donno, heart of a lion, will run through a brick wall for the team, very few mistakes or penalties given away. Good quick play the ball, and would win penalties galore for the team through head high shots. However we felt his main down fall was his size and strength. Just not big enough to make an impact for 80 mins, he would bring shed loads of energy coming off the bench, but then soon becomes anonymous and you then see why he hasnt had a stellar career. He is also very injury prone, which is down to luck i suppose.
Also what are your views on Jimmy Keinhorst? are you glad he has left or would you have kept him?

| Jimmy wasn't the worst player at Leeds. We currently have worst in our squad. He'll go well at KR. Good solid player. Decent goal threat.

| Too small, injury prone and not good enough for Leeds. Simple as that.

| Donaldson - can see he has the heart for it but isn't big enough sadly. Isn't going to improve our team or squad so it's a no from me. Shame because I wish some other bigger lads in our squad had his heart.
Jimmy - he was a funny one really. Capable at centre or second row and a bit like Donaldson he had real heart. It just never translated into a truly top class centre or 2nd row. Ideally I would have kept him in the squad but understand why that didn't work out. I won't be worried when we line up against him.

| I thought he did ok. He isn’t going to hit our salary cap hard so I’d give him the vacant shirt number and utilise him as a squad player. I’d be interested to see his stats on the field because I think he made good yardage tbh.
Ref JK, there was something off-field that wasn’t right - I remember us all bigging him up a couple of seasons ago as Abletts replacement and then he got his injuries so the momentum was lost. Good player, great potential so could fall into that team of ex’s that comes back to haunt us!!!! We’ll see

| Re JK he was a good squad player and rarely let us down.
Gave his all and could hit well above his weight.
Will surprise a few and if he can stay fit will go well.
Donaldson is what most on here are saying plenty of heart but not big enough for what we are looking for.
Saying that he is better than several of our squad players.
We need the likes of Seb from Huddersfield or similar at least but that doesn`t seem to be happening.
I would have been happy with Kopzack ? spelling.

| RE Donaldson.... I fancied him (not like that!!) a few years back, but haven't seen him rip up trees since, so I guess this is a cheap, last-chance saloon for him in Super League....
RE Jimmy Keinhorst.... There must have been something about him that didn't suit Brian Mac... I think he was one of our most solid players for the last couple of years... Never gave less than 100%...Not a flash player, but never let us down. I wish we had kept him, and reckon he could come back and bite us (as well as others) on the !!

| Donaldson for us was a fantastic defender. Gave a lot of heart and worked his backside off on the field. One of those players you’d love to play alongside. Although he offers no threat going forward he’ll always take one in whilst the team get set and organised. Very rarely makes mistakes (I did see the Wakey highlights but I’ll put that down to nerves). Solid but as many have said, always has lacked size. That’s why he was below Langley in the 13 position.
Worth keeping though as he’s a solid back up.

| Personally don't give a dam about Keinhorst, he chose to leave. Keeping him also would have reduced 1st team exposure for Newman IMO.
As for Donaldson he's a good player but his he better than what we have. Certainly better than Walters but will he just stunt improvement in Cameron Smith by blocking his game time?

| Not sure he had much choice but to leave.
His cards had been marked last season.
Yes he could have stayed but his game time was always going to be limited so good luck to the lad for looking for an opportunity elsewhere.
Shame two or three others didn't do the same.

It depended if Keinhorst was happy to stay as a backup or wanted regular first team. He’s a cracking backup player for a top side to have in their squad but isn’t quite of the quality needed to be first choice.

| Much as I liked JK, having a first choice centre of that standard for the next few years isn't what Leeds should be about.
Donaldson baffles me a bit in so far as I thought the aim was to shift on a few un-outstanding players to sign a good un, not bring in more.
