| Well done Rob Burrow. What a great example to others, just like Sinfield before him. Be remembered for what you are, on your terms, and now putting something back.

| Another transition year next season. Mcguire & Burrow have chosen the right time themselves.

This decision feels right to me whereas I just cannot get my head round Magsy deciding to play on at another club after been with us since a kid

| Rob was the main reason my kids wanted to play rugby, we would wait for the players arriving before games and they would stare up at giants like bailey and peacock but rob was smaller than their mum
they would then see the batterings he would take and just shrug off and want to emulate it
i hope leeds keep his playing registration so that if we pick up injuries he could step in

I use to think Burrow would probably last a year or two longer than McGuire especially reduced minutes in recent seasons perhaps helping his longevity. But he has had groin issues and now his shoulder and quite crucially the countless times he's been smacked around the head over the years then can't fault him for feeling now is the time to retire.
They all go out and put their bodies on the line but that guy quite literally put his head on the line for us.

| It`s sad to see such great players go.
However I think we should try and combine Burrow`s new role with that of half back coach to the first team.
Something like that might tempt the likes of Walker to stay and give our coach some fresh ideas in attack.

That try will be replayed and be remembered still a 100 years from now. I was at that final in the Leeds end as a neutral
Was off my seat cheering shouting and applauding that try like i was Rhinos season ticket holder all my life.
Saints were utterly shell shocked from that try and never recovered.

Seems fitting that he bows out with McGuire. I think these 2 have provided more special moments of excitement than any others I can remember. That try in 2011 was fantastic - agree bull mania - most brilliant big game effort I have ever seen, I am a bit biased,It's a long list with this pair. They have both been great servants.
I remember when they were both youth players they played the Aussies, think Chris Anderson was coach and said they were both quality but he thought too small to make it in the modern game. In particular, burrow deserves massive credit for his career. Go out with a bit left in the tank. Very smart and great to see Him staying as a coach. Who better to help young Lilley, Golding, walker and Johnson through in the next few years. Good to see he will still have a full-time job.

Fletcher: Course, he sees 'imself as an authority on curry, he does, on account of where he was stationed in the army.
Rudge: Where? India?

Lives in Pontefract actually, comes from Cas. Airedale lad like Westerman, Daz Clark. Wattsy etc. Always a Loiner at heart though, form his dad.
Disappointing derogatory comment like that on a celebratory thread though Norman.
