| I understand that Briscoe needs a rocket up his a** and has underperformed. But even a underpar Briscoe is better than Handley! He is a turnstile in defense.
It was a tight game vs Cas until Handley came on then they scored two quick tries down his side if I remember correctly.
He is not the reason we lost but it is not a coincidence. We need a better replacement if we want to drop Briscoe.

| Stick with Briscoe, but he needs a kick up the aris.
Send Handley out on loan, he needs some confidence he looks shot.

I think the reason Handley looks shot is that he's still gaining fitness from an injury and the only time we've played him on the wing he's been playing against the best attacking team in the competition defending against their most dangerous side.
It looks like there is something seriously wrong with Briscoe and he needs to be taken out of the firing line and given time to sort things out.

| Briscoe's lack of concentration isn't some temporary or recent phenomenon. I wouldn't be sorry to see him leave.
Handley's problem may be one of confidence but that's not a whole lot more encouraging. Most good players, while suffering the odd crisis, tend to put a lid on it before the alarm bells really start ringing. I'd give him this season to sort himself out and replace him if he doesn't.

I find that comment amazing. Briscoe has done absolutely NOWT since scoring 5 at Wembley. He looks disinterested and way out of his depth and worst of all for a winger lost several metres of pace. Handley is far from being a class winger but he is keen and eager albeit injured.
Surely passion outweighs indifference?

| When ever Leeds are behind in a match, I think back to the 2015 Wembley CC final...not for Briscoe's five tries but for the fact that 3 of them were scored within last 7 minutes ( might have been less) . It was one of a few records broken that day...What ever the reason for Briscoe's lack of confidence or form...he needs to focus back on that day n remember what he is capable of. The other thing I would like to mention is the service he gets..for ages him n Watkins had been working on long range passes at speed but they inevitably ended up going in touch. However I recall in one match the tables were turned..it was Briscoe who shipped the long pass out...which Watkins caught sending him over for a try. I know it was against Barrow ,but with Handley filling in at centre...they pulled of that pass ...that Briscoe had been waiting for an age to come right..in one go....Ok Briscoe did not go on to score..instead he delayed his pass then to send Parcell over..so on an attacking front at least it is there when the service is right...I agree his defence has let us down consistently , other teams are aware of it..targeting him.....on some occasions he been saved as Ash has got back to stop the try.
After Cas match n quoted in YEP " coach Brian McDermott backed the former Hull man as a “good player” who has been “good value” for Rhinos this year, but confirmed the substitution was in response to a series of errors. "
Whilst Briscoe has stated he will work hard to get back in form... sending him off during match might have knocked Briscoe's confidence more regardless of his positive take in YEP....Will Mac do it again if he opts to choose him again on Friday ? Would be better if he says you need to work on your game ,your confidence...when things right your back in squad.
As for Handley ..as other says he has had injury, maybe not at full strength....again I would look back to 2015 when he filled in for Briscoe, in particular the matches against Saints ..was more than capable of stepping up. I would add also when your out on loan your playing under a different system..regardless of what Mac or GH say .t can take time to adjust especially when not been in or around squad for ages. Keinhorst said as much when he was frequently loaned out then returned. .

| Ash Handley is another one that looked far better when first broke into the first team - you have to question the coaching at some point.

| In all seriousness, I really think that Briscoe has picked up a niggly long term injury somewhere along the line, one that seems to be affecting his lower body. His movement, speed and running style is all wrong for a fully fit player.
Im not defending his case of the CTFH's that has also sprung up in tandem but his confidence looks absolutely shot. To see him hooked at the magic was a sad, sad sight for a player used to much more solid performances.

| We got rid of Ben-Jones Bishop to be replaced by Briscoe. I think I would rather have him back now.
I don't think he is ever going to be the same player

Agree with you completely, regardless of what Briscoe said in Yep...he looked both shocked n dejected....Must be humiliating to have that happen to you...not the best way to handle things...Mac has named both him n Handley in 19 man squad...if he picks the same starting line up will he do it again...will make Briscoe's confidence go beneath the ground if it not already so. As Keith Senior said his coaching skills were very good but his play management/ communications left lot to be desired.

We didn't get rid of BJB , he wanted the No1 jersey not playing as a winger...was promised it at Salford didn't get to be FB so left...Was briefly given FB role at Wakey but there are others ahead of him there..so maybe accepted it not going to happen so focused on his game..It is baring fruit as currently 4th in SL try table.
If Briscoe can get his confidence back..stick with him but if he just going to get benched to shock him into getting act together..don't think will work...So would welcome BJB back , though it would depend on how much Leeds had to pay to bring him back.

| I would play Briscoe against Warrington and Handley against Widnes (unless Briscoe has an absolute stormer).

| It's not the first time this has happened to Briscoe. England vs Australia in 2009 he got subbed halfway through the game after struggling badly so it's not a situation he hasn't faced before.
