| Just been looking through the squad list and noticed we have quite a few coming to the end of their contracts this season:
McGuire
Burrow
JJB
Sutcliffe
Handley
Lilley
Baldwinson
Hallas
Walters
Smith
There's some talented youngsters in there it I understand they're free to speak to other clubs - with rumours Sutcliffe has had interest.
I'd certainly be looking to keep him and Lilley, Baldwinson, Hallas (?), and Smith. I'd maybe even offwe JJB and Burrow 1 year extensions. But it depends if we have anyone lined up.

| I believe us (Salford) are courting Sutcliffe as Flanagan's replacement. Not sure what he's like at 13?

| Be interesting to see who's retained from that list. Conceivably it could be none.

| id be surprised if most of them, especially the youngsters, arent signed up already. The club seem particularly poor at publicizing the players who are contracted.
Think we might see Walters move on, possibly Hallas. I dont know if McGuire will want to go around again, Burrow seems to be getting less and less game time. JJB is a machine and is still getting through a ton of work but next year he will turn 37, he has played at the top level for 19 years, nigh on 400 games.
Those three would free up a big chunk of SC so it will be interesting to see who comes in.

| Surely both JJB and McGuire call time at the end of this season.Burrow has one maybe two seasons left in him his impact value still remains.
Out of the younger lads only Lilley is a certainty to re sign for me, maybe Handley. I would imagine Sutcliffe will want good money now, do people think he has warranted that? I'm not so sure.will be interesting to see how the club see it.

1157.jpg It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.:1157.jpg |

| Would keep Sutcliffe, Lilley, Baldwinson and Smith and let the rest retire/leave.
Would offer Burrow a coaching role with the kids, and McGuire and JJB some kind of ambassadorial role.

I'd be happy with this, but it depends who we're bringing in. We need a quality half to help Lilley develop. And I'd like to see us get an second row who breaks the line. I wonder if it'll make any difference to them who the coachvis before signing. From my side of the fence, looks like Baldwinson hasn't had a fair crack. Will he be as keen to stay if McD stays? That said, I don't have any inkling how I tee is behind the scenes

| For me Baldwinson the rest and I include Smith can go. That will not happen as it is a third of the squad and GH isn't going to replace that many.

| I was under the impression JJB was given a year extension in October with both party's agreeing they would see how his body feels this year to continue. So up to him I presume.
I was also under the impression Lilley signed a longer term deal in September last year, with increase. However, there is a few things gone on with him since, and me personally, I would guess, and only guess, he might well leave. Would also expect Baldwinson, and one of McGuire or Burrow to not be a player here next year.
I personally would let Sutcliffe go, but would think to let both him and Lilley go would be a bit of an embarrassment for the club, so just can't see it.
