Having read with increasing incredulity the current thread about Lee Smith (along with plenty of others this season), I found myself wondering why the mods or admins hadn't stepped in to deal with some of the more offensive rhetoric and language. Turns out of the two listed moderators for this forum, one hasn't posted on Southstander since July, and the other hasn't posted since August 2014.

Is it time RLFans appointed more moderators before the forum is lost to constant rolling arguments and increasingly frequent instances of offensive posting?

I'd gladly take on the role if need be.

You'll probably have to wait 24-48 hours for a mod to pop by and even then they won't have a clue what's going on unless someone reports the post.

The mods on Myspace are more on the ball these days.

I've seen very little genuinely offensive posting. What you do get on here is threads lost to a small number of regular posters just bickering.

As for the Lee Smith thread. All I saw was people saying he got fat which is just stating what is true. Nothing wrong with that.

I'd ban them. All they do is argue. No one cares what they have to say. They are the reason all the decent posters have left this forum.

I'd love to do it
