We found Newcastle itself was either sold out or Very expensive so we are staying in Durham and getting train in, which is fairly regular

We're in South Shields, which is apparently serviced by the Metro.

We are about 6 miles due South from you, Seaburn, posh part of Sunderland . Some nice walking around South Shields, and the Barbour Factory shop if you like that kind of gear.

Durham is fine

I've only been through it on the train, but it looked quite picturesque.

Staying with firends who live in Newcastle quite near the stadium, though they are moving house so it may be further off, but we'll work it out

Good I have been told there are some good Real ale pubs and decent restaurants. Last train from Newcastle is just after 10 pm I think so will need to be swift after game I reckon

Managed to get a pub with rooms about 10 miles out and on the line into the city centre. Looking forward to it. Aiming to get there for 11am, meeting up with a few friends and family.

staying at the Premier Inn near the airport, was originally in south shields but they could not give us an extra room so we moved. Anyway not far from metro and short ride in looking forward as usual

The missus found a place on Dean Street, about 10 minutes walk from SJP, it's a bit shabby but but I'm hoping by the time we get back there to sleep I would be in a state to care.

At home, I live in Wallsend so it's just 15 minute journey into the 'Toon for me
