| How good was Cuthbertson tonight? Anyone got the offload stats? Turning out to be one of the shrewdest signings in a lot of years.

| He was excellent. Teams are going to get wise to the offload and work out ways to counter it in the 2nd half of the season, but he'll still get a few away & it'll create more space for others too.

| you may know what's coming, but stopping it is another matter. Also, shutting it down should create gaps elsewhere

That's what I meant.
Also the uncertainty of whether he'll run at the line or throw a late pass from first receiver will trouble a lot of defences, FGB-style.

| It makes you wonder why other props don't try the same he makes it look so easy.... Think he had a hand in most of the tries. He is Leeds' primary weapon in attack at the moment. An excellent signing on performances to date. Long may it continue

| Cuthbo is the real deal. Brain Mac confirming he rested Peacock in the final 1/4. Who would have thought that might be an option 12 months ago.

Exactly. Some people see it very black & white and get obsessed with who we'll buy when Peacock and Leuluai retire as their replacements and that those guys will be the 'transition'......reality is that the transition is happening right now with the likes of Cuthbertson and Singleton even though Peacock and Leuluai are still here. Add to that the impact Aiton and Stevie Ward are having and that again is more of the transition that people keep harping on about happening in the future.....except it's happening right now in front of our eyes.

| Singleton & Yates both got more game time than hitherto & neither let us down.
Singleton especially continues to impress, being brought along slowly & steadily seems to be working.
But Wigan's pack were thankfully very disappointing.

Pleasantly surprised that Yates came on when the scores were tight at 16-14 and got a decent chunk of time. Previously in that kind of situation and game he'd have been left on the bench until the 78th minute at best.

| Cuthbertson plays like a leader, he could be the man to replace Kevin Sinfield as our next skipper.

| Cuthbertson has probably the best hands and eye for a pass I've seen in a Leeds prop since Lee Crooks.
Also seems to be developing a good understanding with his team-mates, who are getting to know the lines he runs and where to be when he takes the ball into contact.
Just need to be sure we don't kill the goose that lays the golden egg by over-working him. He looked absolutely gassed in the last five minutes when the game opened up a bit.
Interesting that in his post-match interview he spoke about Brian Mac giving him the confidence to play his game, and working with him personally on the bits of his game that are weaker. I can only imagine he's talking about defence, where he can be a bit "grabby" in the tackle sometimes rather than getting in with the shoulder.

How is seeing the inevitable being obsessed exactly?
Whilst Cuthbertson has proved to be a cracking signing thus far we will still need to replace JP and Leuluai or are you suggesting AC carries the pack ala JP has for the last 2/3 years?
Singleton again has earned his spot in the 17 but i doubt whether he will be able to do it week in week out yet so we still need at the very least 1 more "gun" prop that's without allowing for injury/rotation.
Yates is still raw as is Mulhern.
If we get Rapira that could be another good addition to the FR and would fill the gap going forward but forward planning in the pack and at HB is still very much needed imo that's not an obsession that's just a fact.

| I think we are one decent signing away from fixing the pack after JP. 2 signings would be awesome.
