Good luck to the lad. He played a (very small) role in our greatest era.
Maybe getting out of his comfort zone might do him good. In his 9 years he showed very occasional glimpses (mostly on the odd occasion he was used in the 2nd row).
Without being churlish, he should be easily replaceable.

Interesting statement from Kirke.
Reads like he was told he was going to be moved on to give the younger players more opportunities. So I wouldn't expect to see a replacement signed from outside the club, necessarily.
Peacock, Leuluai, Cuthbertson, Singleton, Yates, Mulhern, Baldwinson. Much in that set of props to frighten the opposition?

I would not class him as a great but he has played his part in the golden era, and despite the criticism he has received on here has been repeatedly selected by successive coaches when the finals have come round.
We will need a new scapegoat, my monies on Mcguire.

The prospect of going into next season with Lee Mossop is far more appealing than the prospect of a below par,stale Bailey and the simply not good enough Kirke.
Im undecided on what he can bring to us overall but before he left for OZ he was in the England squad for the WC.As a prop he is just coming into his best years and should surely offer more go forward than the two we have just released.
