i know all supporters want a summer game away to catalan but we are not getting a fair deal with our fixtures over the years !
our fixture next season is on saturday 28th march,our 3rd winter game in a row ! here are our previous games

2014 28th feb

in 2012 our fixture was the week before wembley which is not a good time for those of us who go to wembley for the weekend !
our fixtures in 2010 and 2013 were both at easter and not only are the flights more expensive but a lot of the bars and restaurants close over the easter period.
i am no rocket scientist but would it not be fair for to say if a team visits catalan in either may,june or july then the following season then you would go in either february,march or april ?

I know there's global warming and all that shizzle but has it really made April be in winter?

If both Leeds and Catalans finish in the top 8, you may be able to go in the summer months. Two trips, good for you!

Another fixture is possible in the summer but the chances of a group of lads all getting time off work with short notice in or around the school holidays would be hard ! Selfish i might be but 4 days in march does not have the same appeal as in june or july !

This is the first fixture I look for when they are announced.

Seems to be that the fixtures are drawn to try and 'balance out' visitor numbers over the year. Wigan seem to travel there in the Winter more often that not too and Warrington go there early this year. It can't be a coincidence that the best supported clubs tend to travel at the least desirable times.

I'm sure the RFL is concious that if Huddersfield fans saw that their club was drawn to play in Perpignan in February, they'd both decide not to bother.

Tell you what. Email the RFL next year and let them know what dates suit you best to take into account work and school holidays. I'm sure they'll be happy to work around you.

Unless of course it's a massive conspiracy just to screw you over.

I went in 2011 when we were the 1st to use the new stand and it was estimated that there were around 3k rhino supporters that day so you would think that catalan would ask for a summer time date against us !

I might just do that and verse it in a witty quatrain - that'll definitely get their attention.

It's very easy to get up into the mountains from Perpignan. There are lots of very lovely places to visit easily by train. Late March is a splendid time to visit the Pyrenees. I picked up a walking guide with several trails of various difficulties to suit all fitness levels, many of which start and end at stations. Alternatives to sitting around on a beach are available. And it's much cheaper to travel and stay outside the summer season.

Bit unlucky missing the Easter holidays if you have school age kids though. Bit of a trek for one full day in Perpignan.

Suits me nicely to be honest at the end of March. Few days in Barcelona before the match, then up to perpignan for the game. After that either a trip to Andorra or into the Alps for some late season skiing.

Has anybody found any flights?

Searched on Sky Scanner for LBA, Manchester & Liverpool and there doesn't seem to be any flight times.

How far in advance do EasyJet or Jet2 release their timetables?
