Are Leeds in serious danger if dropping back into the pack? Other teams seem to be strengthening (either through recruitment or progression of Juniors) whilst Leeds appear to be standing still at best.

Wigan - lots of good young kids and look to have the measure of us, plus have added Tautai the prop from Wakey
Saints - won the comp without a number of players and were great early in the season - signed Burns from KR and
Wire - signed Clark and Sims to what's already a good team
Hudds - added Huby and rumoured to be getting the cod head prop from Wigan, but I think they're also dropping back
Catalan - knocked us out this year and have added Carney
Hull KR - signing the whole world it seems
Hull - Sneyd and Minichello are good signings - Pryce not so

Certainly feels like we're getting closer to the 2 Hull teams than Wigan, Saints and Wire. God forbid Peacock or Sinfield were to get injured....

A fair assessment we have also improved the squad with the addition of cuthbertson who should improve us. Will be interested in how Catalans go next year if they can kick on from this year

Improved as in a better player, but can it make up for the regression of the majority?

Also missed out plenty other players signed by the other teams who will improve them massively.

Yeah I couldn't be bothered doing an exhaustive list of signings - what's clear is that we appear to be resting on our laurels - that's a dangerous tactic even when you're the top dogs - we were able to get away with it a few years ago as we were far enough ahead of the pack, but gradually they've caught up and overtaken us.

We've been incredibly lucky as fans these last 10 years and it almost feels like because of that, we're supposed to be content and ok with the lack of recent team improvement.

IMHO we should have gone all out to sign Clarke from Cas. I remember him ripping us apart in 2013 at HQ and said to the missus that he is exactly the kind of player we were missing.

We seem to play a better when we have full time hooker on the pitch, if we had a class hooker like Clarke we'd play much better. I still believe that the hooker position is one that we could strengthen (unless the Lunt rumours are true).

So, does that mean you're happy with how the team is looking moving forward? Do you disagree with the notion that we're dropping further back in the pack?

I thought the idea of these forums was to share opinions; not to whinge and moan when someone posts something you don't like or agree with... If you don't agree with the gist of the topic, then tell us why, and if you don't like the topic, rather than resorting to petty playground stuff, just don't waste your time posting and those that do want to discuss the situation can.

This thread which posed a very reasonable question was both ambushed and disrespected by the very first two respondents. I'm guessing they both fit your profile of reasonable posters on this forum insofar as they keep any criticism of the club to a minimum, or better still, none at all.

I think they were referring to our resident agent provocateur, William (he should think about using that as a user name) and not the thread subject.

The team could be playing perfect RL ,but you would still troll just to annoy people for some reason.Its not criticism which is fair enough it's your reasons for doing it .
